Hello everybody,

I was asked by SandMirror38 to design a couple characters from Tin Tin. They turned out so well I thought I'd share them with the rest of the community.

Thompson and Thompson face decals.

Nestor Face and torso.

Milk Man torso only

Very nice Dutch, I will print them tonight or tomorrow and will see how they will turn out (request from SandMirror as well ;)). OK to post the results here?

Problem is that I don't have the bowler hat right now... I will however try to print it in such a way that you can still move the sticker down.

[update:]

It is part 95674, I have the Lone Ranger sets so even in both gray and black... always the problem with LEGO, AFOL's most of the time don't know what parts they have (or am I the only one at EB.com with brick dementia  )

Ha ha

how are they going printing?

Well, apart from the gaiters (aren't they, they look like the ones from uncle scrooge to me at least)... it is printing... but... creating the file was rather challenging, so it costed me more time than expected (of course ;), always with such a projects.).

Update:

First results are in:

tintinfoto.JPG

As one can see, they turned out way too pink (RGB -> CMYK problem).

Maybe I will squeeze the thomsons a little as well.

Tomorrow I will print them on white since I think that is more preferable with these stickers and match the CMYK colors using my huge chart. This version was on transparent vinyl, with two layers of white ink and then the colors.

just to tell you tintin's torso is the light blue grey, calculas the dark green as seen on merry in LOTR whilst the milkman is light grey

Hope that helps..

also Dutch the bit for nestors hair just wraps round the minifgure dosnt it? Connecting to the face decal?

you really don't understand how the stickers are printed do you? My printer (

) can do quite a lot, but is not able to understand: "this is bley".

I'll try today on white and as I already told you I will squeeze the thomsons so the eye's and brows will fit also with the head on the front. so nestor is bald with a hairpiece at the back?!

Well, it costed much more effort than expected (I'm not very often busy with minifigure's mostly only the torso or as part of larger sheets).

But I did it... will up them next week since I'm away for the weekend. Will cost 7,50€ excl. vat (Dutch, just pm with your address so I can send you some for your help :))

The stickers...

The whole crew... Snowy has become muddy at the moment, I don't have the fire station dog yet ;) And only one lone ranger train so one thomson has no hat...

The butler, better to erase the head first, but anyway. It is very close up so the edges are less noticeable in reality.

Back of the milkman and Nestor, unfortunately time is up and my camera focused on the glass...

Hope to have the stickers online on tuesday or wednesday.

Enjoy!

I guess you also want a Tintin head?! What kind of head did you have in mind then? Tomorrow I'm going to Germany to pick up my LugBulk stuff, but wednesday I'm back home to finish the design and do some mass production.
