Zib Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 It started as a Breez on steroids, but it was too masculine (if you may say that of a robot). So Nigel Breez, twin of Natalie Breez, was born. Click on the image to access Flickr set. Also on MocPages Quote
coolkwins Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Overall, it's a pretty well done moc. I would suggest covering it up a little more. The three toes for the feet don't really fit with the moc. Quote

Simple design doesn't mean easy: don't stuff too much details, don't overdo with weapons or add-ons, use ball and socket build approach Design it as a feasible Lego Set: keep it affordable, use common parts & colors (found in HF sets or Pick-a-brick), use legitimate build technics Be consistent: respect existing themes or keep homogeneity in your themes Seek a Toon style: could it be translated to an animated toon? keep low violence and no profanity That means that my daughter should be able to take it from the shelf and play with it as any official Lego HF set and that if I was a Lego Manager I would release the set. So, when design HF character, I don't bother too much on details or coverage. Moreover when I designed this MOC some new pieces that could have helped where still not available. Some of my next MOCs will not be HF characters, so I will consider more detail and less playability. On 7/9/2013 at 2:05 AM, coolkwins said: The three toes for the feet don't really fit with the moc. The original idea was to have trunk-like legs that allowed Breez to hold ground when firing huge weapons. Then I didn't create the huge weapon... :) Maybe you are right and the solution in not very harmonious, in the future I will try the same type of leg with a bulkier model. Quote
Dorek Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Haha, Nigel Breez, that's classic. I'm glad people have used the Hulk chest plate for something like this. The color distribution is a bit weird, with all the red concentrated in the back, but since you're basing it on the Breez model, it can work. The one white plate over his right shoulder, even if it's for gun stability, doesn't quite fit. I like the three mech toes, but since you mentioned it was for an different design originally, I can definitely see how they might not gel with the model overall. The red armpit plates (for want of a better term) also look slightly out of place; maybe they could be angled down more, to flow with the torso better? Not sure how well the helmet works, but that's just a design thing. I still think of Breez when I see it =P. Quote
