Captain Green Hair Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 This is one of those cars that had been on my list for a long time. It's also probably the most difficult one I've made till now Hoexbroe's version was quite inspiring, it just think it needed some more red. The red mudgaurds are cut, but I will exchange them for the new short version, as soon as I get some in red. It also needs some Batman logo stickers on the sides. Enough talking, I give you the 1955 Ford Futura, aka the Batmobile: Tennenenenene Batman! And boy wonder (aka Robin) of course: So there you have it, off to saving Gotham city in style again. I hope you like the model, feedback is more then welcome. Thank you for watching! Quote
Captain Nemo Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Oooh! Retro! Love the Batmobile, and I think the red tubes really make this creation--great job! Quote
Wout Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 I love the use of the old small windows used for the front. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Awesome job on this one! Definitely one of my favorites Quote
KingPixels Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 If you swap robins legs out for some flesh ones you have a winner all 'round. Great vehicle, good job on the scale too. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 AWESOME Bat-mobile 'CRH'.........Bat-Brick On ! Quote
Miss Kyle Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Fantastic job! I've always wanted this one to be released as an official set, but I doubt any official one would beat yours. And yes, flesh legs for Robin would be the cherry on the icing :D Quote
Only Sinner Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 (edited) Nice custom job! George Barris would be impressed. Atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed! Edited July 8, 2013 by Only Sinner Quote

The Warsman Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Looks great! I'm a sucker for the red and black motif of the '66 Batman! Wars Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Great job indeed! Very fitting. I love the classic Batman. I wish I had that old Robin to go with it. I may have to try my hand at this sometime. You've nailed it! Quote
jtr Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 this looks great. i would love to see this on cusso, or a ucs by lego or in any form. such an ionic vehcile . . . . for us AFOLs Quote
Esurient Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Really awesome vehicle! Great use of red tubes! Quote
B Rick Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 WOW! How could I have missed this one?! One of the better 1966 batmobiles build... Love the 'lights'. That works actually pretty good. The tubes used on the fins for red accent lines is just genious. But you've done great on all the details. Not completely sure about the windscreens though, but overall... It'll be very hard to beat this build in minifigscale. Well done! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Nice one! (My cousin had that car and I was very envious... Meanwhile I have a lego model and he hasn't ) Quote
Rinzler Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Nice, if you had a minifigure sized one, you'd have me begging at your feet to have it Quote
