jamtf Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Good things happen to those who wait. I will lay my hands on a 10182 sooner or later... eventually. I am not in such a hurry to get it. Perhaps I will order it from S@H or drive to Oberhausen to pick one up in the Lego store instead. It just got out so it should stay in production for at least another year and perhaps even longer if this is a huge success. It is now on top of the "What is hot now" top 25 sellers so this is really "in demand". Lego would make a big mistake if this is a short production run. But they are smart enough to figure that out by themselves. Sales figures do not lie... |-/ Quote

5150 Lego Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Poor guys. Well, you can't always trust people.-ZotS Part of its my fault though. I should have asked them to put one on hold, or ask if they actually were looking at the set. Oh well. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Well better luck next time. -ZotS Quote
dunamis Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 It will be my first. (that is if dunamis doesn't beat me to it ;-) ) I just bought a new Digi cam too! I posted my review tonight but I hope you will still review the set. I think it is good to hear the perspective an opinion of multiple reviewers and I look forward to your thoughts on the set. Plus, you need to try out your new camera... Quote
hewkii9 Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Cafe Corner looks really good. I like the coloring and tiles. Too bad there's no interior. Quote
Brainbox Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Cafe Corner looks really good. I like the coloring and tiles. Too bad there's no interior. I agree, but you could always build one. Besides, an interior would crank up the price. There are stairs though, so the potential is there. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Can anyone give me a roundup about the rumours on the Eiffel Tower? Is it gonna be minifig scale? (That would be amazing). Piece count? Price...? Cheers Quote
sam89 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Price and scale are unconfirmed, but it may be minifig scale as it apparently has 3600 pieces. Quote
Brainbox Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Price and scale are unconfirmed, but it may be minifig scale as it apparently has 3600 pieces. At a guess... quite big! ;-) Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Excellent, cheers guys! I really hope it's minifig scale, yet also less than Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I dunno. Mini-fig scale would be at least 5000 pcs. -ZotS Quote
5150 Lego Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I dunno. Mini-fig scale would be at least 5000 pcs.-ZotS Not to meantion at least 5 feet tall. not sure if lego would go with anything that big. Though the USC Falcon is preety big too. Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Well, minifig scale doesn't always mean real-life scale. The UCS MF is minifig scale, but it's tiny compared to the "real" Falcon. MF scale usually means that minifigs can interact with it, as if it were part of their world. That could mean if there's a small observation room half-way up, it's "minifig scale". Frankly, I'd love to see some french citizens included with it :-D Quote
Vader Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Hmmmmm not a bad piece count i guess though i doubt if it will be as big as some people would like, i wonder if lego will include any figs? my first thougt says no but after the cafe corner and falcon who knows. Quote
alex54 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Frankly, I'd love to see some french citizens included with it :-D French citizens are citizens like other, we are not all like this: *yoda* ! :-D Quote

Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Its probably as big as the UCS ISD. With 3600. could've been bigger though. -ZotS Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 French citizens are citizens like other, we are not all like this: *yoda* ! :-D Oh? That's too bad, I thought we had finally found *yoda*'s home planet :-P ROFL !! You guys really crack me up X-D Well if TLC could do some stereotypes with it we could have a small bakery stand with croissants and baguettes :-P Of course you would need an awfull lot of tourists with cameras and HUGE bags :-D G still no pics of that baby |-/ Eiffel On !! *yoda* Quote
Wout Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 About french Stereotypes, a painter with a painting would also be a nice idea, or is that a different part of Paris (by the moulin Rouge :-P ) Quote

Shadows Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 News Flash, dateline Billund: In an effort to clear out existing inventory of islander heads, a free mime will be inserted in 1,000 randomly selected boxes of the new Eiffel Tower. But only in the US. I'm not sure who's getting cheated in this deal ... *ducks and runs* Quote
