ShiningStar Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Although the brains pose a threat, they aren't as smart as they seem. Samuel Silver learned this after one attached to the artificial intelligence in his wrist communicator, mistaking it for his brain and thought process. However, the brain proved him wrong when it mutated half of his body into the grotesque form you see here. Furthermore, due to the fact that it had latched onto the wrist comm, Samuel had full control over his body. The brain jammed a spike through the communicator as a means of defence, which helped both it and Samuel, as he could use the spike as a weapon (since he couldn't wield anything else with the brain in the way). This didn't last long. The brain sent neural links up into his neck, and grew itself a new head in order to gain full control over the body, and it pushed his head out of the way. Inspiration was gained from The Flood from Halo (the head's position mirrors the Marine's head after parasitic takeover). Gallery (when public): http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=530885 Quote
WARHEAD Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 That's fascinatingly gruesome, very original idea! I like how the arachnix drone head still resembles the brain enough for it to be believable, the original head still attached to the side is a nice touch too. Quote
Dorek Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Very creative use of parts all around. The clawed foot is definitely a nice touch, and actually incorporating the brain into the arm (as opposed to slapping it on) works very well. The Arachnix drone head works very well too, quite morbid how it just shoves the other head out of the way. Seems a bit cluttered due to the size, I think; at a larger scale, some of those ideas might be expressed a bit better. Very quirky and creative regardless. Quote
