Unless you have De'kra's kanohi mask. Where is Tanma btw??

I could probably get him to come back if Arthur was in the Hall. Few other people try to interact with him these days, it seems--JimB's character is one of the few still around who has a significant relationship with him that's not antagonistic. :sceptic:

Hmm. A weird looking know it all with outlandish views on everything doesn't make many friends. Who'd have thought? Nothing's stopping Dek'ra from throwing away his old views, and try to adapt to Eubric and surroundings.

How does dual strike work on an AoE attack, if the intent was to deal double damage to a single target? Does it go through, or have no effect, since it wouldn't if it was used to attack two targets?

Dual Strike only affects normal attacks, it doesn't apply to Shield-skills that already deal damage to multiple enemies.

And max health reduced as a result of Cursed is not returned when it's cured, right?

On the contrary, maximum health is restored to the normal value once Cursed-effect is remedied. The current health is not, though.

Cursing does not mean permanent loss of max. health.

Hey, the character has a personality quirk. He's far from the only one, perhaps players ought to try to be more accommodating to different play styles. :sceptic:

I'm talking purely in character. :classic: I mean, most players have a certain preconception of how they'd react to certain types of people. Apparantly, many characters interact negatively with Dek'ra. If that's not what Dek'ra wants out of his roleplaying, I think the best way to resolve it is to change the way the character acts a bit? Does that make sense?

That's fair enough. I know that it makes me sound like a jerk... but if there's a character that I think is annoying or poorly-written I tend to ignore them a bit.

Perhaps it's similar with De'kra (not the annoying/poorly written part), because it's so difficult to try roleplaying with a character that one doesn't understand, a lot of people just don't bother.

Scuba is kinda right. Once you get to the top end of weaponry (In which I consider the demonic scissors) then you don't get any item progression. True story. The again, it's our fault for having good weapons. Anything created to match them would be grossly overpowered. And that is the sad story of upgrade addiction.

I've had the Hastened-dualstrike build since Quest #42. And although I've made my items better, they haven't changed. And so I feel jealous of people who get cool new items for cool new builds. At this point, roleplay specific weapons become cooler than good weapons. We don't want to change, we want to progress, which we can't do because we've hit the top end.

At least I think that's what you meant scuba. :look:That's how I feel anyway. :sweet: That's why I changed from Black knight to witch. I wanted change.

I believe it was hard to interact with Dek'ra as he spoke SO MUCH about the world he came from. Knowing nothing about Bionicle, and having no interest in it, it was very hard to follow. I like Dek'ra though, and hope he comes back one day.

Although I believe both Tanma and I found it difficult to carry on, Pretzel and De'kra had quite a great conversation going, I think...maybe I need to read the quest again. :look:

But, if nurtured by a druid, the current health goes up by the amount the druid healed, right? Even if it exceeds the maximum health before nurture.

No, you can never be healed and end up with more than your Max HP unless you've got an Aura. But Nurture would remove Cursed.

That is an interesting situation--I'm not 100% sure how I would rule. Part of me (the killer QM side) wants to say that the Nurture's healing would take place before the effect removal, in which case you wouldn't be Cursed, but you'd be left with 5 HP because that was the max at the time of healing. The other part, though, would say that's silly and counterintuitive, and say that they take place at the same time (so the healing would apply to the regular HP).

What I meant was that if my base health was 39/39 and I had 3/5 health before being nurtured, if I was nurtured for 20 health I would be at 23/39.

Yes, Nurture both heals and removes the effect at the same time, so of course you would be healed according to your actual maximum health in that case.

As MDM asked in the Fields of Glory, do heroes who had their gold stolen by an enemy special get it back? I would say no because then there would be no point in the special, but I didn't design the enemy, nor do I remember how these cases were treated in the past.

Yeah, I got back my gold that got stolen in our last battle and thought that was a bit weird since it makes the special damage useless. But on the other hand, where does the gold go if not in the enemy's pockets? :sceptic:

I agree.

I'm pretty sure in most cases, the Gold has been added to the drops, so you'd get it back, but the downside is that some of it might end up with another player depending on your Party Leader.

Sandy has done both in the past, but generally if the gold is not retrievable it states so in the special.

Yeah, I think it's best if this one's left up to the QMs to specify.

Not in that particular instance. Notice Elite Hit used the additional gold he stole from Maurice to add to the damage dealt.

It's up to the QM to decide.
