JJ.walkers Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Which set should I buy? 1. Vikings Fort. 2. Knights Kingdom Castle. Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I vote for: 3. New Castle sets ;-) Seriously, the KK castle is...sad, and the Viking Fort was a real let-down. But if you'd have to pick between the two, I'd vote for vikings Quote
Chuck Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I don't know why this is in the MOC forum, but I'll go ahead and move this for you ;-) I agree with S4J with the Castle sets. -l2k- Quote
Legocastlegirl Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 The Knight Kingdom Castle is not so good. If there Quote
Norrington Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 It would depend, which KK castle? Mistlands or Battle at the pass? Either way, I say go for the Viking Fortress. Quote
Shakar Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I vote for:3. New Castle sets ;-) Seriously, the KK castle is...sad, and the Viking Fort was a real let-down. But if you'd have to pick between the two, I'd vote for vikings Do what he says..buy the 2007 Castle. ;-) Anyway, depends on what KK set you're talking about. If you're talking about the 2004 or the 2006 one then I say buy the Viking Fortress, however if you're talking about Vladek's Dark Fortress I think you should probably choose it over the Viking Fortress. But really, depends on your preference. Shakar Quote
Trionx Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Well, if you want to get one for MOCing, you should buy Vladek's Dark Fortress (comes with good black bricks), or wait until the new castle comes out. But if you want one for the minifigs or dragons get the Viking Fortress (for the dragons) or Valdek's dark fortress (lots of swords and axs :-P ) Quote
Sir Dillon Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I would also suggest waiting for the 07 castle line. But if you for some reason need a one right now, I would go with the Viking Fortress. Quote
Athos Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Of the two, I'd go with the Viking Fortress. I really liked it. As to waiting for the new stuff, this will probably be one of your last chances to snag the Viking Fortress and you'll likely have more time to get the new castle... unless you expect this purchase to drain your funds for a significant time. SWMAN Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 If you are talking about the Special Collectors Series Castle that was $100, don't buy it. It may look good online and stuff, but don't get sucked in. I, unfortunatley did. It is a nice set, but not worth 100 bucks. It is too much like the King Leo's castle from a few years go. It only has the front. There are three king's soldiers, a knight, and a king, which are all nice. It also has a wizard, dwarf, and two evil knights. The real drawback is that lego decided to experiment with stickers for the shields and mini banners. Unless you are a sticker master, they are a pain and are slightly too small for the shield. I would suggest waiting to buy all the 2007 Castle sets, which look amazing. Quote

Shakar Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Knowing Lego, the sets should come before August...hopefully. Although here the stuff should come out in stores around September. Well, more time to save up I guess. ;-) Shakar Quote
Capn Frank Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Are the new castle sets out yet, and if so is it the humans vs. the skeletions? yes they're the humans vs. the skelies. I'd go for '07 castle P Quote
Mike F Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Yes, I would also buy the 07 castle. It's amazing how lego is improving fromthe old town sets al the way to detailed castles, cool city sets, great creator sets, and more. Quote
