Sir Bricks a Lot Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Hello friends, I have a question. Is there an update for the stones Lego digital designer, so which one has more stones to choose from? I looked at the selection at LDraw and am thrilled with the huge selection. If there is a kind of update where can I get it? Quote
Calabar Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Maybe you didn't enabled the Extended Mode? Read here for more informations. Otherwise, if it is simply a brick request, I'll move it inside the proper topic. Quote
Sir Bricks a Lot Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 Hi Calabar, i have the Extended mode. on Ldraw there are so many typs of bricks more then 1000 and i want to know if ist possible to get more bricks, maybe by download for example Quote
Calabar Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 No, in LDD all available bricks are "internal". There is a database containing all the available geometries, and this database is periodically updated releasing new versions of the brickset (present version is 1033). Quote
pbat Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 [...] and i want to know if ist possible to get more bricks, maybe by download for example In this thread you may post some bricks you'd like to have in LDD. Feel free to browse the BrickLink Reference Catalog, if you are uncertain about their respective part number. For older bricks not used for a longer time or only used in very little sets (like e.g. 4626) or bricks TLG has no digital models for, chances are less good than for more recent and more common bricks (like the whole Friends stuff). So don't be too upset if your bricks are disregarded: LDraw had, has, and probably will always have more parts than LDD. Maybe you are lucky and some of your parts are incorporated into the next LDD update. Although there is no fixed schedule or roadmap when this update is due (at least no publicly available), in the last years there always was one update in the late summer or early fall and another one in the late winter or early spring. Who knows, maybe we are lucky and get some new bricks in September or October. Quote
