What is this Lego 3D program?

I have been browsing the forums and I keep coming across pictures of what look like 3D modeled MOC bionicles, trains, and other lego sets. What is the program that is allowing you to do this? Can you then take those models and export them to 3D Max, Blender, or Maya?

There are a couple of different LEGO CAD programs out there. The official, LEGO-Company-created one is LEGO Digital Designer. http://ldd.lego.com

There are also a number of fan-created tools based around the Ldraw standard. http://www.ldraw.org

There is a whole forum just for LEGO CAD tools. Head on over to LEGO Digital Designer and Other Tools. I am curious about your mention of Bionicle though. As far as I know, none of the tools support Bionicle.

Lego Digital Designer has a limited variety of Bionicle parts, but a wide variety of Hero Factory parts. That may be what they're referring to, since many FOLs use Bionicle as shorthand for any action figure theme using the ball-and-cup building system.
