piterx Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) Hey guys! Just wanted to show you the chassis of my next rally car The shock absorbers design i made for the Fiesta, worked greatly for this model.. thanks to that, I've reduced of one stud the front axle to have better proportions It has RTC steering and differential, and it has also rear suspensions As you can see, except for the front axle, the rest of the chassis is still rough....it's just a test ^^ as rm8 told me some weeks ago small models are way funnier than middle ones :D rm8 you was completely right Edited July 1, 2013 by piterx Quote
rm8 Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) And suspension is excess! Too much weight from all that shocks, suspension arms.... Just 4 wheels, buggy motor and you;) Yo also need old model team tires for outstanding drift! Edited July 1, 2013 by rm8 Quote
piterx Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 ahah yeah i know...but i wanted to add something that the fiesta didn't have :P i'll add probably also openable doors ^^ Quote
z3_2drive Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I really like it! I see how it is built except for the steering rack...it confuses me, anyway good luck with your model! My next model will be built around my new technic figure and his seat Quote
W0lF Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I really like this compact suspension system. More power to your elbow! Quote

My next model will be built around my new technic figure and his seat i also have the 2 directions link but i don't have it here so this is my solution and works good anyway Yo also need old model team tires for outstanding drift! no man, i don't! it's already hard enough to drive with these wheels....it drifts like hell Quote
Lipko Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I still can't post my rally car I almost finished a month ago and all these rally cars will make mine totally unnoticeable. I envy the time you have for building and shooting videos Quote
piterx Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 I NEED RC MOTORS! Nice chassis ahah definitely dude! I still can't post my rally car I almost finished a month ago and all these rally cars will make mine totally unnoticeable. I envy the time you have for building and shooting videos if your rally car is like the red one you made and you have in your avatar...i can also sell all my legos and start making something else lol Quote

Doc_Brown Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 here is my version, hope you don't mind. I was dying to try the little yellow spring block I just got, and it works great! I added a bumper cos, my place is a maze to drive thu! And crashes are very common. hahah Quote
piterx Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 oh nice! id like to have that piece too! personally i don't really like the servo...it's heavy and slow...even if i have to admit that is way more precise than the M motor :) ah...does it drift :P? Quote

But when M motor stalls while turning - protecting shield turned ON and car stops....:( Quote
piterx Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 hmmm im using the v2 reciever...should i be aware of it? anyway as i added the body it started loosing performances....so to avoid stressing the rc motor too much im gonna use the second output...it will have the same performances that the Fiesta had Quote
Doc_Brown Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Mine doesn't drift, but it does cut out! :( haha. I think its too heavy. I might try a different setup. yours is really great btw, its very quick, well in the video it is, dunno about now if you have added body work to it. Quote
rm8 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 (edited) Sorry for offtop.here is my with awd and fast output.
