Starwars4J Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I would've put this in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum, but this isn't Lego, so I wasn't sure if it would go there. Does anyone know of a place to get Green Stuff cheap in the US? I've tried searching, but the only place I found that sells it is the Games Workshop, and they ship from England (I'm sure the shipping would double the price :-| ) If anyone knows, some help would be appreciated. Thanks! Edit: I guess I should've been a bit more clear "Green Stuff" is a type of apoxie used in sculpting things. Information about it can be found here Quote
oo7 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Does anyone know of a place to get Green Stuff cheap in the US? Am I the only one who read this wrong? X-D I assume you don't want to use Ebay? Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Am I the only one who read this wrong? X-D I assume you don't want to use Ebay? *tries to figure out how you read it* Anyway, for Green Stuff I'd rather buy it from a real store. For Lego and stuff Ebay is fine, but for something I'm going to use to make something...I want to know it's the real stuff and not a knock-off or something Quote
oo7 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 *tries to figure out how you read it* Sounds like one of those infomercials that's on every single channel on Sunday mornings, "Get Green Stuff Cheap!" Or one of those 200 some odd smam messages I have in my G-mail, "Get Rich Quick!", "You've just won 2 million dollars in the international lotto!", "The National Bank of Nigeria needs you to confrm your credit card and bank account numer." "Dear friend, I desire to entrust my uncles will upon you.", "Give me your Ebay account!", "Give me your Paypal account!"..........Ok I'm done now. And no one seems to understand you get rich quickly and you get green stuff cheaply 8-| . Anyway, for Green Stuff I'd rather buy it from a real store. For Lego and stuff Ebay is fine, but for something I'm going to use to make something...I want to know it's the real stuff and not a knock-off or something Yup. Sorry, I can't help you there. :-( (Although I would trust 'em if they have good feedback) Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Ah, I thought you meant you read it as something dirty :-D As for ebay, I may end up having to try it, though I am worried about, if nothing else, the stuff not being fresh :-/ I guess we'll see, I'll try it if I can't find anywhere else with a better price than $10 for a small sleeve of it... Quote
oo7 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Well I did leave out the dirtier E-mail titles.... :-D Looks to me that the plastic tube will prevent it from drying out. I'd definitely worry more about the freshness of Ebay Peeps. ;-) Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Ahh! Again with the "peeps"! It's a good thing I found them today while shopping ;-) Quote

exo attack Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Green stuff is a type of putty used to make customs for minifigs. Yes it's actually called "green stuff" Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Yes, thank you exo attack. I guess I should've made it more clear :-$ I'll edit the first post with information about it ;-) Quote

Vader Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 That's nice of you, but is it around this much: If it's more, that sounds great! If it's the same size, I might as well save you the hassle and just buy off ebay. I don't know much about this, how much is a good value or not, or even if this is standard packaging for it. Ok no worries, the green stuff in the pic is far more than what is sold here in the UK for Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Well if that's more, if YOU ever need some Green Stuff I can get it for you at a good price apparently :-P Quote
Vader Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Well if that's more, if YOU ever need some Green Stuff I can get it for you at a good price apparently :-P In that case thanks mate, over here its far to expensive for the amount you get. Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 I can imagine...even the amount I showed you looks little for $10US *wacko* At least compared to the huge brick of Sculpy III I got for like $5US... Quote
Vader Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Just remember to keep a pot of water near you when you use that stuff, it sticks to everything unless wet. Quote
oo7 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Uh... no... on first instinct I would have suggested the Netherlands... X-D Yes, uh, that there smile was smiling at the stupidity of the comment, not the humor of a joke. 8-| Being American I would have thought it was money originally, and then he mentioned the US, I believe the term 'green stuff' is only used in the US. So you say there's alot of it in Holland.....would that be the same green stuff that infests Ireland? Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Am I the only one who read this wrong? X-D Nan, I thought he was talking about me :-D X-D *yoda* Quote
Starwars4J Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Sorry to bump such an old topic, but I recently came across a site I think could help anyone who's looking for green stuff at a decent price. *vader* said $10 was a really good price for what was mentioned above, and I found a store that sells it at $12 for the same amount. A little more, but you don't need to bother with ebay, and it's still a good price I believe 8-| Here is the site. They also have a Brown/Aluminum version that I haven't heard about. It looks a little cheaper...but from the description it's harder? You get less I think though...does anyone have any insight into this? Green Stuff Brown Stuff Quote
