I'm moving this over to the Sci-Fi forum. The general rule is that MOCs should be posted in their respective theme forum, and only in some special cases (like your Ferring building), should they be in the DD forum.

As cool as this is, I would advise against anyone building it. At some point, one might have to dismantle it. Then what happens, hrm?

Cool. If you increment each letter of HAL by one, it spells IBM. I wonder if Arthur C. Clarke planned that.

I wikied that and it says: 'Although it is often conjectured that the name HAL was based on a one-letter shift from the name IBM, this has been denied by both Clarke and Stanley Kubrick.'
