RunnersDad Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) I recently had a friend of mine give me a box of Lego that his son had when he was a kid. I was blown away when I discovered the contents of the box included all Classic Lego sets! There are Classic Space, Town, Fabuland, Castle, including "The Yellow Castle", and some of the odder sets like the stand alone Kitchen(263) and others. Take a look at the pics. What are some suggestions for restoration of the sets? The website, "Let's build it again" looks to be a great place for classic lego instruction. I have a lot to sort through but have already sorted out what I think is most of the Yellow Castle as well as some of the classic space parts included. Thanks for looking and your suggestions for moving forward are appreciated given that I don't know all of the sets that are included in the lot. naf Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Oh that beautiful box of classic space parts very nice. Looks like you have at least one classic Technic set too, I have that 4.5v motor in one of my universal sets. Quote
LegoDad Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 All the old greys and blues also appear to be in great shape, I don't really see any discoloration at all. That is a really cool find, will have to show us some completed sets. Quote
ShaydDeGrai Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Wow, I wish I had friends like yours... Such a great find. Best of luck restoring these classics. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Can't beat that price! Have fun restoring them. Quote
Sid Sidious Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Try looking through the sets that contain that raised baseplate. Whichever set you try to build should use up a bunch of the space pieces, making less to sort through. Quote
Grimmbeard Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Wow, nice grab. I feel like this is every AFOL's dream Have fun with all the new sets! Quote
Chills Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 What an awesome friend! I recently found all of my old LEGO at my parent's house and rebuild my yellow castle. Talk about reliving some great childhood memories. Quote
kibosh Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Fantastic haul! The stickers on the Yellow Castle knights look to be in great shape. Quote
