I honestly think its just a typo, but I do find the name interesting.

The thing is, a letter or two off I'd understand, but this isn't really close to any of the names. This could be like the Vastus/Gresh TRU website thing from a few years ago. :P

To be honest, I kind of expected that joke after posting this. Perhaps a LEGO in-reference mis-spelt?

No, I find it extremely unlikely that Lego would intentionally reference JANG, if that's what you meant.

Yeah,I mean he's just a reviewer,Lego wouldn't do that.Unless he works for them which is HIGHLY unlikely.

He actually works for PayPal, or at least he used to. I find this slip up incredibly interesting. I want it to be some future villain, but is it just a typo? I can't wait to hear more ideas!

Where on the LEGO website did you see this?

Infernum, MakutaDreadscythe quoted that in the first post already.

But yeah that is the page.

Wait for anyone that has read Mirror World, does it say anywhere that Goriz is the crimson armored villain?

I was just trying to find the specific page. It might have been on a specific product, offering more clues. Sorry if my post seemed redundant. :classic:

Was helpful to me!

Anyway, it's possible that it's a result of LEGOjang's name, indirectly. Daniel Rocka is more or less canon at this point (enough that I changed the page name on HS01 =P) so it's possible there was a mixup somewhere? The difference in names leads me to think otherwise, but anything is possible at this point. And, of course, there's also Worriz, and potentially a gorilla Chima name that's similar (I'm not really familiar enough with the story to know).

Or, of course, it could just be some name confusion, like Vastus and Gresh, or Artidax, and this is a name for something in the future.

Or or it could be nothing. Lots of options at this point, but it's an interesting find nonetheless. Although it could probably stand to just go in the Hero Factory topic =P.

No, Dorek, I don't think JANG is well-known enough for Lego to mix up an official character name with one of his MOCs (which was sort of a joke, actually).

......ASK BINK?????

Ask him what Goriz means? I doubt he'd answer, if it was an upcoming product or something.

I meant more in terms of the Daniel Rocka situation; for whatever reason, the DVD credits people were looking on wikipedia, so perhaps some S@H newbie coder (they are asking for new ones, after all) mixed up the names. Obviously a long shot, and not one I believe myself, but it doesn't hurt to discuss the possibilities.

As for Bink, he's not really involved much in Hero Factory anymore, so I doubt he'd know much. I'll pass along some messages, see if he has anything to say, but I very much doubt it. Next time I (we, but whatever) have a chance to talk to Greg, I'll ask that one too, but if it is a future name, he might not be able to say anything (or even know about it in advance =P).

Hmm this is weird. Maybe it was just a preliminary name for a set...I suppose it COULD be an upcoming set, but it seems unlikely. It does certainly sound like it belongs in the Chima universe though, yeah.

This is...weird. At first I thought this topic was just about LEGOJang's MOC, but the fact that there's an official use of the name "Goriz" seems like someone either made a very bad typo or was referencing LEGOJang.
