Gondorian Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm 33 and got back into Lego after my 30th birthday, via the Collectible Minifigures. My job and family keep me pretty busy, so I am mostly just accumulating Lego at the moment (buying bargains on Amazon via brickbadger.com), and then giving sets to my kids for birthday/xmas and at random other times (read: "whenever possible"). I have a lot of unopened sets from the last two years, up in the attic and in wardrobes. My son is 5 and he loves all the super hero sets, which I have bought, but he's only had about half of them so far. My daughter is 7 and is into playing with Lego Friends, but not that interested in building the bought sets themselves, but builds her own stuff to go with it from my bricks. I am mostly in consolidation mode at the moment, trying to organise all my Lego parts, in readyness for starting a town-based project. I used to build my MOCs in top-down fashion, but am starting to think the standard Lego way of having no back is the way to go. I plan to build a hotel inspired by the Daily Bugle Spiderman set at some point soon, most likely from all the parts from the Tower Bridge set I bought a while back on sale from Amazon.it. If someone wants to point me at some more inspiration, I'll take a look. :) p.s. I'm Gondorian because I'm a big LOTR fan. The Tower of Orthanc set is very very tempting! Quote

If you're looking for inspiration for a Hotel then check out the MOCs in the Town Forum - there's some amazing creations in there. Quote
