hoiharry Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) In my opinion, the official minifig didn't had the right colours. So I took a picture of the official minifig and changed the colours. I think it looks much more movie accurate now :) http://www.flickr.co...N08/9125485932/ Edited June 24, 2013 by hoiharry Quote
Captain Nemo Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Well, you do have to remember what style Lego had at the time. It was the first Harry Potter wave, and they still had yellow color for Licenced figures. Your version looks more accurate, but I think Lego was going with the style they had, as well as wanting to show off the rare purple color (Which was basically a new color on minifigures). Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 That looks great. Too bad we will never get updated versions of any HP characters. Quote

Personally, I also like to see an updated version of Tom Riddle and Gilderoy Lockhart. But there are no new Harry Potter sets comming. Quote
KingPixels Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Probably because they didn't want to print brown on and wanted one solid colour with black lines. Yours looks great. Quote

TheLegoDr Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 You also have to consider when LEGO had that license. Their printing is far more remarkable and detailed now than it was then. Not that they couldn't do multiple colors on a torso obviously, but maybe the equipment they used had certain limitations. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Looks loads better. Might you make custom stickers so others can do this? Quote
