KingPixels Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 I'm in New Zealand. I'd like the smoothness of Pick-a-brick without $50 shipping for 5 bricks. Are there any particularly good international bricklink stores?
Legonardo Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Hi, I'm in NZ too (lovely weather we're having aye?) and I've never used bricklink or the online PAB, but if you can find a friend in the states who lives by/is willing to travel too a PAB wall I suggest doing that. get him/her to take a pic of what the wall has too offer, then ask them for stuff. you wont get exactly what you want but you can get close. I've done it once, got 2 large PAB cups (800+ pieces) for NZ$60, including shipping. if your looking for specific parts, there is bricklink, but i'm unfamiliar with that and won't be of any use to you. hope it helps.
KingPixels Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Thanks for that, although I don't know anyone in the US. I don't know about Bricklink. I think I might just try to buy some sets with parts I need.
harmacy Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 As a fellow kiwi, I suggest using a NZ based Bricklink store - there are a few decent sized stores here (Gelo, Ash's Brick store, JimMini Bricks....) That way you can get used to using Bricklink with a local seller, then spread out to overseas sellers once you are confident. I order using Bricklink often ( at least twice a month), and have never had any issues in over 100 transactions.
KingPixels Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 That's a good idea, I'll have a look at those stores. Thanks.
