TheDesuComplex Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 41300 Titan Nex: Friend Turned Foe! Be careful Heroes, for the ravenous brains will stop at nothing to destroy us! They have already made a grand titan out of rookie Julius Nex! Be wary of his actuated claws that cut through even the strongest alloys and his twin poison shooters! Neutralize that parasite to save your peer! Features removable brain, wrecking claws, barb-shooters, and brute force to take down any Hero! Attach the brain to turn a rookie into a beast! Shoot your foes with poisonous barbs! Disable the Hero Factory once and for all! Battle with 41301 STRINGER! Combine with 41301 STRINGER to create a devastating fusion beast! My own explanation as to why Nex and Stringer where not included in the Brain Attack series; that Nex was mutated by a brain early in the invasion and Stringer was deployed to take care of the threat. I created this with the intention of it being an unofficial set and I didn't want to use more advanced skeletons and complicated builds- just lots of orange and gunmetal. All images link to higher-res originals. An overall view of my moc: A view of the brain, that has a grip on Nex's central core inlet center. This is the first MOCI've posted on here, so Constructive Criticism is appreciated! [ ] Quote
Takanuinuva Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Very cool. I'm also working on Brain Attack Versions of Nex and Stringer. I Have Nex and his villain done. I just need to get some trans dark blue armor pieces to finish Stringer and his villain. Quote
Dorek Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 The claw hand is very cool, and it's nice to see a riff on an older form of Nex's, rather than his current incarnation. The shoulder-mounted launchers seem a bit overkill, but they're done in a neat way. However, the Joker tie/whatever it's called is out of place overall; doesn't really seem worth it to include just one since there's no other form of asymmetry in the model. Quote
DraikNova Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 The pictures could use some work, but the MOC itself has only one fault: the neck seems much too long. Quote
Infernum Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Very cool! But I agree the neck is a little long. Hope to see more MOCs from you soon! Quote

Yeah, that was kind of tacked on at the last second to match his core. I've changed it by now anyway. Aaah,I forgot the higher-res pictures! Silly me. For his: Frontal, Brain, Hand (Sorry, I don't have much in the way of a quality camera or setup.) Yeah, the neck is the shortest bone. Without it it seems too short and with it, it seems too long. I've moved that Joker tie below his neck to seem like a sort of circuitry or conduit detail. Quote
DraikNova Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Maybe if you simply posed the head differently? Quote
TheDesuComplex Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 That's where I moved the part to. I quite like it. Quote
MakutaNocturn Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 When I see "no more" anywhere that's the only thing I think about XD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU-s2yWgEI8 Anyway, good moc, I keep one's finger crossed for you. Quote
