Darking Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) This is Helen Kermel, a female hero designed for hard-to-control situations. When the Brains attacked Makuhero City, she was inmediatly updated at the Assembly Tower and given an XL to fight the menace. Her equipment includes: -A mounted triple heat-seek missile launcher on her right shoulder -A mounted energy bazooka on her left shoulder -A visor to protect her head from the evil Brains -Two hero cores to give her the power neccesary -Spiked armour protecting her knees, useful for low attacks -A dual saw-sword, able to cut though hard materials Helen.lxf Edited June 21, 2013 by Darking Quote
Dorek Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 It always heartens me to see cool things on LDD, given that I couldn't make something on there to save my life. It's tough to get a good female vibe from Hero Factory in general, but I don't think that's what you were going for, necessarily; the color shadings are the only thing that would make me think female hero. The triple heat-seeking missile launcher is probably my favorite part, I love the use of the Hero foot there. The overall armor works well, although the spiked kneepads are out of place in the whole design If you rotated and centered them, to cover up where the knee joint is, it might be a bit more believable. The hip-pads are also a very nice touch. Quote
DraikNova Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 (edited) This is a very good MOC; it's well-armored, the colors nicely balanced and original and it features some cool ideas for the weapons. Using a "Breeze katana" with one of Rocka's swords works very well; I might try that. The spiked armor could also work to cover the gap between the two armor plates on the lower legs, btw. Darking Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 (edited) Thank you two for your feedback! Yeah, the choice of the spiked armor was mainly to cover that gap, though as Dorek said it would look a lot better if it actually covered the knee joints. However, finding a way to make it work would have ended being too complicated and looking messy, while I was going for a more simplistyc style, something more along the lines of what TLG could've done.
