Hector was part of one of the first hero units to encounter the brain parasite. With their armor not properly adjusted for combating the new foe, his squad was easy prey for the devious aliens. Although the parasite had trouble planting itself on his head because of the thick armor his helm was made of, it still managed to achieve a neural link to him by connecting directly into his spinal cord. Now Hector is an abomination, still retaining his memory but none of the control over his body, he wreaks havoc over his friends and comrades from the Hero Factory.

I suck at writing stories for these things. :v

Dude. Yes. That's awesome. I like how it appears to be spreading across his body. The red/orange color gradient is neat as well.

That's gonna be tough to beat. I really like how you found a use for the Inika Hewkii mask. I wouldn't have thought those masks would fit on anything other than the Inika head piece.

It's not that hard to build a custom head for them... in many cases you can even use them on a Toa Mata head with just a few parts added to the back to hold them in place. With that said, this MOC does it very effectively with what appears to be just a shell.

I'm astonished that you were able to create a model with such an impressive "infected" look in just a few days. I think the weakest part of the design on the "infected" side is the leg. Even though of course cohesiveness was not the goal, it still feels a lot more pieced-together than the torso and arm, which have motifs running down their entire length to create a sense of visual continuity. In contrast, the colors and motifs on the leg feel more broken up.

The hero side of the design is fantastic and just simple enough to feel cohesive. Often with a larger-scale hero the armor feels very pieced-together, but not in this case. The weapon is also very neat. It feels elegant and majestic, hinting at the character's lost glory. As much of a cliché as orange and blue contrast can be, I almost wish the transparent blue color from the weapon were present on more of the "uninfected" side of the design, if only to add an accent color that broke up the otherwise neutral color scheme. Even a blue light on the shoulder could perhaps have been sufficient.

This is absolutely fantastic. It looks so solid and cohesive and the mutation is superb. I really like how the mutations seems to be spreading and the use of the Inika Kanohi is great! best of luck in the contest.

The Sanok seems a bit out of place, but I love the infected look. Sometimes the colors appear to be getting a bit cluttered, but the design certainly makes up for it.

The overall structure looks nice and sound (I'm assuming the foot isn't too unstable) and the brain perched on the shoulder is amazing.

I picked the Sanok because of how clawed up and deformed it seems, like it's in the process of being infected but it also still retains a heroic shape. None of the moc is unstable. Thnaks!
