So, I built a small Roman house while thinking of other things to build (am working on a larger thing with my brother at the moment). :)

I hope the pictures are the right size. I have not based it on any real Roman houses or anything, I just felt like "that's what I think a Roman house might look like".

The house is pretty plain and simple, but I think it got a pretty nice, clean look. :)

The troops are moving out to cross the river Rubibrick.

There's not much going in on the outside (edit: INSIDE, haha, strange things happen when you're tired)... I needed some of the parts again so I took it down after a few days so I didn't bother to make much of an interior. Here's the Emperor Brickus Caesar writing his victory speech in advance.

I hope you enjoyed this little build.

Thanks for watching it :)

PS. Sorry for the strange scenery around it, haha. It's a battle grid game mat and a sofa... typical Roman scenery.

Looking good. I know very little about Roman history or architecture. But this looks great. I love the size of your army too. I ended up buying way too many of the Roman commanders. I should try selling them probably.

Thank you! :) Half of the soldiers belong to my older brother haha, but we share our Lego (except some figures, but parts we always share because we like to build together). I think the commanders work splendid as foot soldiers with gladius! Just remove the plumet from the helmet and take the cape off :) And maybe give them a shield (the highlander shield is the coolest, I think, for this particular guy) ^^

This is really cool!!! You don't see a Roman MOC everyday, so excellent job!

I like the architecture and the interior :classic: Also very cool banner!!

I do the like the clean feeling you achieved in the architecture  The sword rack inside looks great as well.

Is the larger build you're working on for GoH?

I like the whole idea but after seeing the paintings of roman gardens (made at the time) they loved lush green slightly wild gardens with birds and roses and creepers etc etc... (at least in Pompeii)
