Lakop Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Hi, Argos (UK) are doing the Technic Supercar at £47 and some pence if any one is interested. Happy building H Quote
peter_m Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Ahh... shame they only ship to UK & Ireland :( Quote
zux Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Ahh... shame they only ship to UK & Ireland :( Norther Ireland, not the other part. :/Arghh, I just hate to see the prices you get for sales in the rest of the Europe comparying to ours. Quote
legolijntje Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Wow, I thought it was discontinued? Maybe that's the reason why they're on sale Quote
chorlton Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I spotted this last week but I can't find it in stock at ANY stores. I've tried searching nearest to postcodes from Aberdeen to London. Argos have done this before. I think it was end-of-stock and is now long gone unless you can find it in some remote part of the country. Note, it's also not available for delivery and only click-and-reserve in store. Quote
LegoGBC Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) Pfff...This just shows me again that I'm the only one buying a single flagship set for around 280$ because of the stupid LEGO prices in my country & extremely high shipping costs... Edited June 21, 2013 by LegoGBC Quote
Lakop Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 Yep. They are out of stock. They've just been too lazy to update their website. I've heard of this sort of thing before with them. Anyway, the excavator is in stock at £49 (£38 at amazon) and the rescue helicopter also at £49. Hurry up payday. H Quote
N-4K0 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 We have high prices in Norway too. Both the 8110 Unimog U400 and the 9398 4x4 Crawler has a normal price of around 210 Euro. The online store I bought the Unimog from had it on 20 % sale though, so I got it for around 185 Euro. But I still think it's a bit much, although the model is quite big. Quote
Blakbird Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I've updated the topic title so people who do not have an Argos store in their country know this doesn't apply to them. Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Sigh, Why dont we get argos in the US Why don't we have Walmart in the UK ;) Quote
gevans12 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) I know exactly what you mean, it's tough on those of us who work there and can't even get hold of the reduced stuff...its cos it's coming up to the new catalogue which should and I emphasise should have the 2nd half of the years new models in it. 750ACE Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Why don't we have Walmart in the UK ;) No technic here in USA walmart stores. Curious if Toys R Us is the reason. Quote
N-4K0 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 What would Toys'R'Us have to do with it? Can they be getting some sets for exclusive sale through their stores, which might be slowing down sales of other sets from other stores or something? Quote
matty33 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Why don't we have Walmart in the UK ;) we kinda do have walmart here in the uk but its named asda ... owned by walmart Quote

And yes toys r us has an entire exclusive line.... the 8070 was even advertised as an exclusive. Go google "toys r us lego exclusives" Edited June 22, 2013 by 750ACE Quote
