legomuppet9 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Hello guys I present to you my latest MOC, a dakar rally truck. Dakar Rally Truck by legomuppet9, on Flickr Basically I made a quick chassis with full suspension, and then added a very simple and light-weight body to it. There's an XL motor geared up 3:1 and then an M Motor powering return-to-center steering. It has front independent suspension and rear I have-no-clue-what-it's-called suspension (please tell me, it'd be greatly appreciated ) Speed and performance is good, it has just enough torque to get up to speed, so as it doesn't have a differential, it does lose speed in the corners, but this isn't really much of an issue. Dakar Rally Truck by legomuppet9, on Flickr Dakar Rally Truck by legomuppet9, on Flickr I know this is a very simple MOC, I think I'm going to try a slightly more complex one for my next MOC, probably a construction vehicle. suggestions are welcome Quote

Junpei Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Nice rally truck, I expected it to go faster though. Maybe some R/C motors? The suspension in the rear is called trailing arm suspension BTW. Also, how did you get the slight camber on the front suspension? Are the pieces already like that? Quote
Blakbird Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I love those tires! I hardly ever see them used. Quote
tibivi Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I thought that it was inspired by the blue 4wd from 2003 Nice jeep Quote

I'd much prefer to use RC buggy motors, but I unfortunately don't have any and the pieces just went like that I suppose, it's the normal front independent suspension setup I love those tires! I thought that it was inspired by the blue 4wd from 2003 Nice jeep Thanks for the kind words I suppose it looks a bit like the blue off roader (8435) as I got the blue pieces, front suspension, and wheels all from that set Quote
