If the cart's Health reaches 0, the cargo will be damaged and you will have failed the quest.

Whoops, forgot to bold it/eat it before. Health should be at 45.

The rest of the night passed without incident. As the sun began to rise over the horizon, Mac started to packing up the tent and other supplies in the campsite. He wanted to get an early start so they would not miss their scheduled rendezvous in Bric'lin. After the cart was packed he checked to see if the heroes were ready to depart.

The heroes and Mac departed the campsite while the sun was still low in the sky. Mac wasn't nearly as talkative as he had been on the previous day. It would seem being attacked twice in the same day had rattled him somewhat and as a result silenced his tongue. The journey was starting to get rather dull as there was not much along the way to catch the eye. As the sun neared the high point of the sky they could see Bric'lin in the distance. Mac began to think they would finally go a day without being attacked by random bandits or equestrian liberation armies, when he heard a rustling from the bushes. The nervous look on his face was echo'ed in the horse's exp<b></b>ression as there was a visible air of panic about him.

Just as Mac was about to leap into the back of the cart for protection, a small jack rabbit hopped onto the path. It twitched its nose a couple times before hopping off, most likely in the direction of some food.

"Hey Mac, are ye alright? Ye seem a bit jumpy all of a sudden..."

"Sorry sir dwarf, This is the most action I've seen on one of these trips and it isn't quite what I expected. It would seem my nerves are all alight, but hopefully it will pass before too long."

They continued down the road, entering Bric'lin in the afternoon while the sun was still high in the sky. The city seemed to bustle with activity as traders from all over the free islands and beyond had come to this hub of commerce. Mac took the cart through the city, down one of the back roads. They were now traveling around some of the less frequented shops and some of the more residential neighborhoods. As Mac approached an alleyway between two wooden buildings he stopped the cart.

"This is where we are supposed to meet our contacts. They should be along shortly."

The party watched as two men approached the cart from the dark alley they were parked next to. One of the men had a generic looking face and long hair. His partner sported an impressive looking mustache and quite a bit of stubble on his chin, indicating he had not shaved in several days. They were carrying a large flat box with them, the kind a person would traditionally transport an expensive frame inside.

As the neared the cart, one of them called out to Mac.

"Ah Mr. Mac, how good to see you again. Do you have our payment?"

"Of course, I've got it in the back of the cart. Just let me fetch it for you."

Mac walked around to the back of the cart and started removing some of the boxes and barrels that contained the camping supplies they had used the previous night. Underneath the various containers there was a large treasure chest.

"Do you any of you heroes think you could give me a hand with this. It is a bit heavy."

Mac opened the chest to reveal a rather substantial pile of gold inside.

The other man picked up the parcel and carried it over to Mac.

"Just set it down next to the large barrel. The other boxes and crates should keep it from moving, and if that is all, I guess we should be on our way. As always, it's a pleasure doing business with you."

The two men each grabbed a side of the treasure chest and carried it back down the alley they had arrived in. Mac went to work loading the crates and barrels back into the cart, taking care not to damage the parcel they had just received. Once he was confident everything was secured and the parcel was well hidden, he turned to the heroes accompanying him.

"It's always nice when a deal goes well. The sun seems to be getting a bit low in the sky, so we'll want to rest here tonight. We'll head out come morning and we'll be back in Eubric in two days time."

Sorrow and Thormanil headed over to the Bric'Lin Emporium to inspect what goods were available for sale there.

Bone - Can be thrown at monsters to distract them for a turn. Costs 10 Gold.

Potion – Restores 10 health to the target. Costs 4 Gold.

Tonic – Restores 5 ether to the target. Costs 18 Gold.

Elixir – Restores 50 health and 10 ether to the target and removes all negative effects from the target during a battle. Costs 48 Gold.

Smelling Salts - Causes the hastened-effect, allowing the target to act twice in one round for the duration of one battle. Costs 28 gold.

Nostrum - Causes the lucky-effect, allowing the target to roll the battle die twice and get the better result of the two for the duration of one battle. Costs 42 gold.

Soma - Causes the blessed-effect, allowing the target to recover 3 health at the end of each round for the duration of one battle. Costs 42 gold.

Remedy – Removes all negative effects from the target during a battle. Costs 12 Gold.

Phoenix Essence – Revives a fallen ally with full health during a battle. Costs 75 Gold.

Venom – Use on a weapon to make it cause a poisoned-effect on any enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. A poisoned enemy loses 1 health each turn. Costs 3 Gold.

Smoke Bomb – Allows the party to escape the battle. Costs 5 Gold.

Fire Bomb – Causes 5 points of fire-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to fire. Costs 15 Gold.

Ice Bomb – Causes 5 points of ice-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to ice. Costs 8 Gold.

Holy Bomb – Causes 5 points of light-elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to light. Costs 10 Gold.

Bedroll – Allows the hero to rest and regain health in a safe place. Costs 7 Gold.

Shovel – Allows the hero to dig the ground in search of a treasure. Costs 10 Gold.

Pickaxe – Allows the hero to dig through a breakable wall or obstacle. Costs 15 Gold.

Magnifying Glass - Allows the hero to see trap triggers. Costs 30 Gold.

Telescope – Allows the hero to see far. Costs 40 Gold.

Magic Compass - Allows the hero to know the right direction. Costs 50 Gold.

Ebony Longbow - (WP: 5, suitable for Rangers) Costs 85 Gold

Knotted Broom - (WP: 5, suitable for Clerics or Mages) Costs 50 Gold

Bone Shield - (SP: 4, suitable for Knights) Costs 40 Gold
