colmoore Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) Hi all, Pictures of my favourite creation - a Merry-go-round. The ride features 8 different types of vehicle - a train, a tractor, a rocket ship, a dinghy, a fire engine, a quad bike, a car & a horse. I have included 6 minifigures - a ride operator, a boy purchasing a ticket, mum & dad figures (with dad taking the picture) & two children on the ride. The kiosk features a till & a lever to operate the ride (which must be turned by hand of course!) I have sent off for the bricks to build it Colin Merry-go-round1 by colmoore, on Flickr Merry-go-round2 by colmoore, on Flickr Merry-go-round3 by colmoore, on Flickr Edited June 25, 2013 by colmoore Quote

Xcod119 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Nice set, when finished, maybe put it on CUUSOO Quote
colmoore Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) Thanks Xcod119, hadn't heard of CUUSOO, just Googled it. Nice idea! Col Edited June 10, 2013 by colmoore Quote
Redhead1982 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 This is a cute design. It looks nice with different models of vehicles. Enjoy the brick-building it. Quote
coffeeandcake Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 nice work there, i like it (: i have been long thinking of making a proper lego theme park moc, and you may have just fueled my inspiration. Quote
colmoore Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) Thanks coffeeandcake. Interesting you should also like theme park-type models. I think a funfair could be a LEGO theme. Obviously coasters would be very difficult but there are so many other rides that would make for a lovely little collection. I already have lots of ideas for my next few projects ;) Edited June 10, 2013 by colmoore Quote

I already have lots of ideas for my next few projects ;) i agree, i think it would be an amazing theme. the nice thing about the idea is that it also allows to combine already-existing themes (town, pirates, castle, space) together as theming. one can hope.... (: i am really looking forward to seeing your next projects (: Quote

Kristel Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 This is even cuter in real bricks! The little green tractor and red train are my favourites, but they are all cute. I imagine kids (big and small) would love to play with this. Quote
eurotrash Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Excellant! It looks so much better in real bricks. Have you thought about raising the base and using PF to motorize it? Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Reminds me of the one we have at our local fair. When I was little, I would ride for hours for five bucks. Quote
dvsntt Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 That is a gret model. I happen to really love amusement park rides, and would love to see this on Cuusoo so I cna support it. Quote
colmoore Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 Thanks for the praise everyone. I have thought about motorizing it, and possibly adding a canopy, although decided against that as I think it would cover up much of the hard work I put into the mini builds. Any more developments I will post on this thread. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 This is an original idea very well realized! This could be an official Lego set! Quote
colmoore Posted June 29, 2013 Author Posted June 29, 2013 Thanks mate. I have submitted it to cuusoo but so far haven't received a huge amount of support. Who knows one day I might get there. Quote
