cheeze Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Evening folk, im looking for some help with a turntable design for my crane I'll start from my last crane which just used plates with the smooth plates on top to give it something to slide on, but creates the problem of sticking when slewing with a load, so im re-designing is to include a roller bearing of some sort and also a way to hold it together if you follow me. Im using the old studded turntable but im willing to buy new parts to make other ways work, it needs to be 14 studs or smaller as thats the maximum size im using what i have so far but everything is able to change Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Hello Cheeze.... Fellow Eurobrick's member Milan came up with this idea for a reinforced turntable: I would mount the turntable upside down on top of this. Quote
cheeze Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 Any other images Alasdair? might be handy if i can get it to work Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Not that are clear enough to show anything....but maybe Milan will explain his idea in better detail. He uses these hinged plates below to make a circle to which he adds the guide wheels via technic bricks. Quote
