The boom should stop or atleast has a very minimal movement. Im an engineer. I am a operator,we start to slew around only when save to do so. When we use a excavator for stock piling we can control the excavators arm as well as slewing at the same time. We also use the the arm and the slew of the machine in aid of the excavator when tracking. Quote
