Legofin2012 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 My build for Knight of Valholl: Finlay of Teridyan, in honor of his father, has organized few tournaments around Mitgardia. So far Mitgardian champion Ian, is yet to be beaten. But when a outsider challenges him, he does not fail to win again! Jousting by Legofin2012, on Flickr Jousting by Legofin2012, on Flickr Quote
Maxim I Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Great layering of the ground! Especially with the mud/earth section! Also nice minifig posing! But... Seriously, Mitgardians and Avalonians are sometimes too sure of theirself! Always with their "never beaten" and all that blablabla I mean, Mpya Stedor has a world famed champion (Sir Ereh Ahn Roblaw). He fought at tournaments most of you Avalonians and Mitgardians only could dream off. But I will never say he is the best of Historica, as he can be beaten by everyone when he has a unlucky day Quote
Captain Nemo Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 But... Seriously, Mitgardians and Avalonians are sometimes too sure of theirself! Always with their "never beaten" and all that blablabla I mean, Mpya Stedor... Blabalabala with Mpya Setdor! We all know Nocturnus is where it's at! Anyways, nice joust. I think it would work/look better if the whole build was wider, but either way the serfs are happy so that's good! Quote

Hahahaha, a good Nocturnian should remember the name of Sir Ereh Ahn Roblaw as he participated in the Drow Gladiator Games Quote
Legofin2012 Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Thanks for the comments, and I'm new to GoH, so I have no idea what or who your talking about! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Nice jousting area I like the stands and the wall in the back looks good, seems to be missing its crenelations though Quote
Mike S Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 so I have no idea what or who your talking about! Don't worry about their sales pitches... Masa believes one should look towards one's own future, not the past of someone else. Anyway a nice build for one of your first. You stay in GoH long enough and it will totally change your building skills... for the better. The fig posing is excellent. My main criticism would be the roof as it seems to have no support beams that it should have even if it is a tent. Quote
Legofin2012 Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Thanks both of you, I used most of 2X2 that I use for the crenelations on my castle. I hope GoH will make my building skills a bit better, and I knew that tent was missing something, and I guess that's what it was missing! Quote
Kai NRG Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Don't worry about their sales pitches... Masa believes one should look towards one's own future, not the past of someone else... But those who don't learn from history, are destined to repeat it... Anyway, nice joust! Looks very Mitgardian! Quote
Legonardo Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 nice scene! looking forward to more from you! Seriously, Mitgardians and Avalonians are sometimes too sure of theirself! Always with their "never beaten" and all that blablabla mitgards maybe, but when have I or the majority of Avlonians ever said that we never lose? Quote
Maxim I Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 nice scene! looking forward to more from you! mitgards maybe, but when have I or the majority of Avlonians ever said that we never lose? I was thinking about the joust MOC of Brickington @Legofin: A nice way to know some of the history is reading the GoH wiki :) http://guildsofhistorica.wikia.com/wiki/Eurobricks%27_Guilds_of_Historica_Wiki There are already 150 pages, so maybe reading it all at once is not that a good idea :p But if you want to know something for example about a character or a city someone of us is talking about, you can most of the time find the information on this wiki :) Quote
Garmadon Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Nice build, my favorite part is certainly the red and white guy falling (or flying ) of his horse. However, the ground is a bit plan, and could probably be improved with a few bamboo leaves. Quote
Legofin2012 Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 Thanks, will be building a lot more, probably won't read all of the Wiki, but will read quite a bit of it thought, and I think is a bit plain, but don't have that many bamboo leaves and it makes a bit messy. I do have a limited collection, but it is quite a big one. Quote
SkaForHire Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 So, despite the chest pounding in this thread, very nice build! The themed audience is good, and the ground is layered well, but a little vegetation might make it stand out more. Quote
Legofin2012 Posted June 2, 2013 Author Posted June 2, 2013 Thanks, a bit low on vegetation, but hope I will get some soon. Quote
