RaincloudDustbin Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Awesome! I had the idea of that head but didn't have time to check if it worked with armor- thanks for verifying. Quote

To be honest, it is actually more than a tight fit. I had to kind of "squeeze" the helmet into shape, after a few firm but gentle pinches, it fits decently now. My next small project will be to sand down the inside of the shoulders around where the base of the helmet contacts to give it an even snugger fit. Quote
agoodfella77 Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) Here's an updated version of my MOC Iron Man MK I, guess I'll call him Variant 2. "Changelog": Changed helmet to Mandalorian (reason: same darker grey shade to match rest of body, covers back of the head also) Removed helmet decals, Added eyeholes (this time switched to black stickers, which are non-LEGO as I did not have any vs. the older black tape, which was much thicker) Edited June 1, 2013 by agoodfella Quote
agoodfella77 Posted June 2, 2013 Author Posted June 2, 2013 thats awesome and looks like the mark 1 Thanks! Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 This really belongs in the MCW forum since it showcases a minifig customization rather than a MOC. It looks really nice, by the way. My only criticism is that it doesn't look as cobbled together as it could. Perhaps some custom decals or usage of different printed parts in the body could help that. Quote

Hi, apologies I wasn't aware that there was a separate forum for minifig creations, I totally understand if a mod wants to move this thread there. I'll remember that going forward. Thanks for the feedback. Quote
Studebricker Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 That's nice -- makes me wonder if Lego will do a MK1 suit at some point as an exclusive or something..... Quote

I'd be all over that. In fact I hope they eventually do Mk 1-5 at some point.... Oooh I love your beautiful collection! :wub_drool: Thanks! Nice Iron Man. But the Captain America on ice cracks me up! Ha! It's actually from the Arctic Batman set (can't take credit for that idea, but it works great for Cap as well!) Edited June 10, 2013 by agoodfella Quote
