Iron Man Mark I

Build details:

• Helmet (AT-ST Driver backwards) + custom eye hole decals
  
• Shoulder (Alien Avenger Minifigure) + removed shoulder decals
  
• Body (AT-ST Driver) + removed front torso decals
  
• Hands (Alien Avenger Minifigure)
  

Variant 1: Arc Reactor = regular transparent 1x1 flat round piece

Variant 2: Arc Reactor = regular transparent 1x1 regular round piece

(in fact would love to hear comments on which variant people like better!)

Awesome! I had the idea of that head but didn't have time to check if it worked with armor- thanks for verifying.

To be honest, it is actually more than a tight fit. I had to kind of "squeeze" the helmet into shape, after a few firm but gentle pinches, it fits decently now. My next small project will be to sand down the inside of the shoulders around where the base of the helmet contacts to give it an even snugger fit.

Here's an updated version of my MOC Iron Man MK I, guess I'll call him Variant 2.

"Changelog":

• Changed helmet to Mandalorian (reason: same darker grey shade to match rest of body, covers back of the head also)
  
• Removed helmet decals,
  
• Added eyeholes (this time switched to black stickers, which are non-LEGO as I did not have any vs. the older black tape, which was much thicker)

This really belongs in the MCW forum since it showcases a minifig customization rather than a MOC.

It looks really nice, by the way. My only criticism is that it doesn't look as cobbled together as it could. Perhaps some custom decals or usage of different printed parts in the body could help that.

Hi, apologies I wasn't aware that there was a separate forum for minifig creations, I totally understand if a mod wants to move this thread there. I'll remember that going forward.

Ha! It's actually from the Arctic Batman set (can't take credit for that idea, but it works great for Cap as well!)
