paostmo Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Finally finished my yellow modular house. I hope you enjoy! The rear has a sun room. First floor has a kitchen, bicycle storage, spiral staircase, bookshelf, and reading area. Second floor has an office and bedroom. Third floor has a bathroom, trophy shelf, and bookshelf. View of street with some other MOCs. Thanks for looking. More pics here: I tried to add a thumbnail picture of my new MOC to my signature, but I got a message that said I could only use four photos. I know some members have more than four photos in their signature. Anyone know why I can only use four? Quote
Kristel Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 (edited) This is gorgeous! It has a lovely facade, but the two things that really caught my eye were the roof and the sun lounge out the back. I also like your use of the space under the stairs for bike storage and the way you have done the stove and the fridge. I really like the street view. I wouldn't normally choose such bold colours, but they look great together! Edit: meant to add that I don't know the answer to your question about the number of pictures in your signature. Hobbythom Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Hey Paostmo, I love the ammount of detail you've managed to put in. Also, the facade with its different 'depths' works really well! Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Cool house design, nice exterior features and that interior is to die for......fantastic work 'paostmo' and Brick On again ! Quote
greg3 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Lovely house!! The exterior is great with the various details and textures but it's the interior that really does it for me... such a lot packed into a small space... beautiful work!! Quote
R2zoo Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Very clean looking and just looks great. I personally liked both of the staircases. Two different styles but they both looked perfect in their spots. Quote
Kivi Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Very nice building, both outside and inside. The colour scheme outside is very pretty and the sloped part of the roof is built in my favourite technique. Inside it's so full of details and still it doesn't look crammed. Personally I like most the bike storage place. Well done! Quote
Hey Joe Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Really nice, I especially like the interior. Joe Quote
Redhead1982 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 It's a lovely design. Despite yellow being not the best color for building, if cleverly mixed with other colors, it has a great effect. The interiors is lovely, it's a bit tight with space, but you managed it well. The texture and offset of some brick looks well on the facade. Nice work. Quote
timmyc1983 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Wonderful building, I love the sun room out the back and the incredible detail you have managed to squeeze in is commendable! And I also enjoy seeing the 'street' views with your other MOCs, they look great all together. Well done and happy building! Quote
paostmo Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Thanks for all of your comments! I had some rough designs made in LDD, but when I ordered the bricks and built them for real, my creation didn't look very good. But after some tinkering, I think it turned out nice. I might try a red building next. Also, I'm still hoping somebody can answer my question about adding more than four pictures to my signature. Is it simply a matter of reaching a certain number of posts before I receive that privilege? Quote
Chilis Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 What a cosy home! I really love it, so many nice details in such small space. Well done! Quote
antp Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Despite yellow being not the best color for building, if cleverly mixed with other colors, it has a great effect. Indeed, with the white parts it makes the whole thing really good-looking. Quote
bootz Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Lovely little house. I love the sun room out back. Quote
