Born a simple farmer, he always dreamed of adventure. when he grew up his parents died and left him a mysterious chest, when he opened it, not only did he find gold, but also a note that read: Son, by the time you read this I will be gone, this gold is for you and so is the helm and this sword, they once belonged to me, when I lead my troops into battle.... The helm was silver and gold, and the sword of the finest steel in the land. With that he set off, with the gold he brought some armor, and a small castle, on the way he met 7 men, who fought with his father... And here is the castle he brought:

Finlay: So what do you think of the castle?

Kyle: Very nice, the Orcs will have trouble getting in here...

Finlay: Well I hope we won't have to deal with them to soon..., at least until we have a few more men...

Kyle: Agreed, with 7 men, well'd lose most of them... and what about them docks?

Finlay: Turns out there's a trapdoor in my leading down a tunnel out off the cliff to the docks, impossible to see from the cliff!

Kyle: Interesting, could be useful...

Finlay: Indeed...

I like the section over the waterfall and the inside looks good as well  The transition from grass to cliffs could be done better as right now it is just a straight line.

Cool portcullis, is there anything in the cave?

More layering would be good but I think the castle wall could use some added depth a little more than the cliff. Also, going back to Soccerkid's suggestion, breaking up the line between the cliff and the grass would help it look more organic; even just some foliage over the edge might do the trick.

Sorry for the double post, but thought I'd post a picture of the better layering (I hope):

Thanks to soccerkid6 and StrOngbad for the suggestions!

I really like the change, when the colors don't change exactly with the geometry the transition between ground and cliff looks much better!

Yes, I agree with the others, it is a great improvement. Maybe a bit more of a transition where the waterfall hits the bottom would be good too (if possible). BTW, did you mean to name the topic Finlay Castle (it says catle). I bet a certain friendly regulator could fix that, though  .

Thanks, unfortunately I can't change it any more, since it has been destroyed to make my watchtower :cry_sad: .

And yes, was mean't to spell castle and not catle :hmpf_bad:
