I'll start with the smaller of the two mocs:

This guy is a soldier moc I started working on him when I decided to do a black and dark red moc and he eventually resulted. His body is custom and the limbs are fairly standard bionicle/hero factory based. I basically picture mass of him work for baron von nebula or another badguy for the heroes to smash through.

Heres his front and back shots.

And a quick look at his weapon:

Now for the star of the show. Introducing Stormer super XL:

This guy took about three days to finish and he still needs some work on the upper torso to make his shoulders and arm joiints a bit stronger. He's also my first moc big enough to warrant using the hulk chest piece.

Front and back shots above. As you can see he has hydraulics in the legs and removeable secondary thigh joints to help him stand ok.

His weapon a special buzzsaw for cutting through ice and enemy armour among of things.

Also painful to accidently step on!

thats it folks please comment and critique.

While the pictures aren't really clear enough to make out a lot of details, the grunt's weapon is quite interesting. Stormer XL...well, let me put it like this; the only problem is, like you've said, the shoulders, which should be bulked-up slightly.

It looks much better now. And from the looks of it, you've thought up a pretty creative shoulder connection. It kind of reminds me of the old Sidorak set from Bionicle, actually.
