Captain Green Hair Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 I'm a big muscle car fan, especially the ones between 1967 and 1972. The 1967 shelby GT 500 is my absolute favourite, closely followed by the 1969 Dodge charger with the hemi engine. *wub* I did see a Aston Martin DB9 a few weeks a go mr. Tiber, that V12 sounds awesome X-D Quote
Corvus Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Well, it is a cars topic. X-D Shelby Cobra is the way to go. An amazing car. *wub* Will Quote

The Hemi is really howling on that baby, and its a pretty rare car !! And I saw yesterday in the streets a '69 Fastback !! not a shelby 350 or 500 but still an impressive engine !! Muscles On !! *yoda* Quote

I hope to get my license soon and have one this summer. X-D Quote
blueandwhite Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Truth be told, I've always had a soft spot for affordable performance. That is to say cars that are fun to drive at a reasonable price. Everything from VW GTIs to Ford Mustangs. I've never been a big fan of exotic cars as they are built to the exclusion of all but the exceedingly wealthy. I appreciate the technical beauty of a supercar, but the reality is that for most people these vehicles are nothing but fantasy. I would rather fantasize about a car that I could actually own rather than one that I can't even sit in. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with the prospect of the 2009 Chevy Camaro which looks fantastic (IMO). For a North American like me, muscle cars are a thing of beauty simply because they were built for the everyman. To get that sort of performance for $30-50K is something that the ordinary joe can genuinely appreciate. Quote
El Bucanero Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 I was astound to notice that the car has a regular key and no laser key as Mercedes >:-( For Pete's sake I have an Alfa Romeo 147 and the key is nearly the same as a Gallardo, whats wrong with he picture *wacko* Both Italian huh! :-P And BTW Tiber, there is an Aston I never saw in my life and I never seen it anywhere !! Will need to go and get pics for you ;-) As if it was a Koenig car but there is only Aston signs everywhere 8- Quote
Brainbox Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Just to change the direction of this topic slightly, I was given a lift home from the school I volunteer at by one of the teachers the other day. She drives quite dangerously. The seatbelts weren't really working and I don't think the suspension was in good shape either. This was only made worse by the fact that she seemed to be driving pretty quick. But I think what really sums up the car (and the driver) is the torch that my friend found in the glove box... for use in case the cars lights break again! 8- Quote
