A local company actually takes old DC-3 planes and rebuilds them, outfitting them for a variety of missions, including smoke jumper delivery! Now you've got me wondering if I have the parts to build one of these in fire department colors... Nice work! Quote
Amte Posted May 9, 2013 Author Posted May 9, 2013 Yes, this Smoke Plane is modified from Peril in Peru, transport capacity is for 4 jumpers. Plane has modified engines, landing gear and cockpit, that the pilot could see out. Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 I like the plane much better than the original LEGO plane for the Forest Fire Dept. I bought that one but was disappointed by it. I wish I had been able to get one like your's it is much better I think. Quote

I work for the real-world U.S. Forest Service (not in the fire division) and your designs are really creative and darn accurate! If you really wanted to be dead-on, FS fire trucks are either green with a white stripe (older paint scheme) or white with a green stripe (newer paint scheme).
