What an awesome idea! It looks like you've based your plane on the Peril in Peru plane. I don't have that set but wish I did because I love that plane. A local company actually takes old DC-3 planes and rebuilds them, outfitting them for a variety of missions, including smoke jumper delivery! Now you've got me wondering if I have the parts to build one of these in fire department colors... Nice work!

Yes, this Smoke Plane is modified from Peril in Peru, transport capacity is for 4 jumpers. Plane has modified engines, landing gear and cockpit, that the pilot could see out.

I like the plane much better than the original LEGO plane for the Forest Fire Dept. I bought that one but was disappointed by it. I wish I had been able to get one like your's it is much better I think.

Hah! Excellent. I work for the real-world U.S. Forest Service (not in the fire division) and your designs are really creative and darn accurate!

If you really wanted to be dead-on, FS fire trucks are either green with a white stripe (older paint scheme) or white with a green stripe (newer paint scheme).

As seen here:

I kinda doubt Lego makes bricks in the right shade of green, though :(
