Drachmyre Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Are these official sets as in numbered an all that. We got the one at Easter... A friends thingy.. And then again today the Star Wars mini thing. If you have done them before.. They are all just pieces in a box and you walk down the line and collect the pieces and put them in a bag yourself. I just threw them in my "no idea what do do with this box" but I thought I would seek the wisdom of the fellows here to see how people thought of them. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I've heard they have actual builds. I think they did one yesterday for May the Fourth. From what I can tell it is similar to the mini builds at the LEGO store. I've never done any of them, so I can't be for sure. Quote
Drachmyre Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 They don't come in a poly bag but they DO come with an actual instruction page that's from LEGO. The one from TRU yesterday has a single two sided glossy page for a Jek-14 stealth fighter. 40 pieces. Quote
CopMike Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Hi! To my knowledge there can be both numbered and unumbered sets. The numbered ones are like this one: 3772 Treasure Tomb, TRU exclusive More interesting and what I think you really mean is when they have an assortment of parts that you yourself pick and put in a bag and get instructions and stickers also. Examples on those are: Torque Redline from Cars Harry Potter Quidditch Tower I have both of them and there pretty nice sets, nothing really extra though. Here is a list of Bricklinks TRU Co-Branded Items. They don't come in a poly bag but they DO come with an actual instruction page that's from LEGO. The one from TRU yesterday has a single two sided glossy page for a Jek-14 stealth fighter. 40 pieces. That one you can see the instructions here from 1000steine. Quote
Drachmyre Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=TRU03-1 And http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=WISHINGWELL-1 Were the two I have so far this year. Both TRU. Since I collect neither Star Wars or friends I was unsure if I should just toss them in the parts bin or if I should try to find them a home. (Sorry to link to brickset, not sure if that's allowed or not) Quote
