Hobbythom Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Hello everyone! I have come out of my dark ages recently and am starting my collection from scratch again. Inspired by the modulars but not having nearly enough bricks to build even one, I decided to build a smaller scene whicht would fit next to the Bank and Money Transfer Bank. It depicts a restaurant with an apartment on the second floor and a two story shop with dresses and such for the ladies. Let me now what you think! Feedback is greatly appreciated! DoctorKairam Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 This looks very nice. I especially like the clothing shop. The apartment on the second floor is a very nice touch as well. Quote
eurotrash Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Looks good! I particularly like the restaurant interior - you've managed to get a lot in there. Thanks for sharing it with us! Quote
Kivi Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 A nice one to start with. The restraurant in particular has some some classic town feeling. Keep up the good work. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Cool designs there 'Hobbythom', that diner has that classic town feel to it......keep going and Brick On ! Quote
Kristel Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 This is a great start! I like the tan building, particularly the tall narrow windows on the second floor. Only one minor thing ... maybe you can add a step to the front door of the pizza place? I think it would define the front entrance to the pizza shop a little better and make it safer for the minifigs to go in and out. I'm looking forward to seeing this town grow. Quote
Hobbythom Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 Everyone thanjs for your replies! Kristel, thanks for the suggestion, I'll surely do that! Quote
LAKAbricks Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Welcome to Eurobricks, Hobbythom. It's a nice little street scene you have built. Even though it seems that everybody else here builds modulars there are quite a few building more classic style and size buildings. I think it's a good start, you have got there. Shop, restaurant and a flat already. And many details. My favourite is the use of Pirates wall elements in the pizzeria. I think it give a nice effect, resembling the interior of many restaurants. I had never thought of doing that. I really look forward to see the expansion of this street. I'm pretty sure, you'll have more things to show. Quote
