Disco86 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 After more than a month of building a finished my ship trilogy, that is actually based on five MOCs. I have build this to finish some tasks for my merchant career at LCC. But now let the stroy begin: Prologue: The military confontation seems to be not that near yet. That's why Paul von Brickenstein decided to travel back home, for recruiting new troops. But it is not enough gold available to pay and arm the soldiers. So he got the idea of becoming a merchant to eran some money with trading. Fortunately his friend Fangulf owns a little trading fleet. Paul von Brickenstein visits him, to talk about his business plans. After a long talk about the old times and adventures, and of course a bottle of wine, they come to an agreement. The merchant career is goung to start soon... Chapter 1: The two friends are heading to the harbour, and Paul von Brickenstein is totally impressed about the merchant ship they are going to travel with. A massive hulk, made out of the unbelievable solid wood of Oaks that have been chopped in the Wandering Woods. Luxuries sails, manufactured in the weaving mills of Dragonsmouth. Completed with fresh painted faction colours on it. They set sail to the north. A customer in the lands of Garheim is waiting to get his goods. The big deal is just some miles away... Chapter 2: A couple of days later Fangulf and Paul are reaching southern Garheim. The signal fire of the small town Thorinstor could be seen from far away. Arriving at the harbor, they start to unload the ship quickly. The Garhim are preparing for war, so they really need the shipped goods. But also Paul von Brickensteins time is valuable, he needs to get to northern Garheim fast, some weapons are waiting to get picked up. Will he be fast enough to come back home, defending Lenfald with his fellows ? Chapter 3: Time is running out, so the men are heading to the north under full sail. But in the middle of the icy sea of Garheim it happened. Fangulf missed an iceberg, the ship was colliding with it. The hull bursts, and water is running into the ship rapidly. The pure power of the ice has broken the ship into two parts and it is beginning to sink to the bottom of the sea. Paul von Brickenstein could jump on an ice floe, but Fangulf is nearly drowning in the cold water... Epilogue: Fangulf finally could be saved from the cold sea, and after a couple of hours sitting and freezing suddenly a little fisher boat appeared. The friendly Garhim want to help our shipwrecked fellows. They say they are bringing them to the nearest castle: Fort Vharenfell. Quote
robuko Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Amazing series. Beautiful builds, all of them. I love your use of colour, like the green clothes and green shields. The circular frames are fantastic too. So many nice details. Quote
Brickington Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Great set of builds! You are a great builder of ships. May favorite has to be the shipwrecked one, the effect with the water was just great. Quote
kabel Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Very nice ships there, I'm glad we're finally seeing mocs cogs and other kinds of medieval ships. It'd be really cool to have them flaoting next to mine. I mean, Frankfurt is only two hours away ... Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Great MOCS! You have an amazing attention to detail, especially with the ice and the water. Quote
