timmyc1983 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Promising start! I feel sorry for the driver though... LOL The driver's is just that excited about his job, he's going forward in time!!!! The cars look good tho :D i like the colour Happy building! Quote
UrbanErwin Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 it looks good but I'm concerned about the availability of some parts. Quote
Commander Wolf Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I think you've got the shape more or less right, but the single color of the body is really throwing me off, even though that does seem to be the way it actually is... except for the roof. That looks like it's a black or dark grey from the pic. Also, I think the actual bogies are a lot more spindly than the Lego motors, but if you want to power it, I guess there isn't much choice. Locomotive Annie Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I really like the vintage appearance of these metro cars. Quote
Lazarus Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 yup those does dont come in Dark red. And the windows. What is about 40% of the model. Might want to change those. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) From the looks of it, White, Red and Green are most of your options, based off your current parts selection. Apart from that, it looks like a great start! Edited May 1, 2013 by Murdoch17 Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 It is a shame those doors are not available in dark red as they would be much better for many older style coaches. I have had to use standard red myself but would have preferred dark red if at all possible. Nonetheless it is a nice design and I hope that you will get around to building it in one colour or another and that we will see the photographs. Just think, that maybe the colour of the original but your LEGO layout may have your own colour scheme in your town even if they purchased the coaches from the same manufacturer. Quote
James_T_Menendez Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 Here more variations on the same theme. Quote
zephyr1934 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Some neat builds, though you are using many pieces that were never made in these colors. Not a problem if you are only designing the models, but a huge problem if you plan to actually build them. When I design virtual models, I always keep an eye on bricklink to make sure I am not accidentally using parts that do not exist or are insanely expensive. If you do wind up building some of these, you'll likely need to come up with a brick and plate solution for the windows and doors since the dark red window parts which are very limited. Quote
James_T_Menendez Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 I just do designs searching acuracy to reality, when put hands on its another chapter... Modern models its easy only with use white blocks. The doors its the worst case, I had to make doors from scratch. Quote
