Just thought that it would be cool to have some information about the approximate scale of the official Technic models, maybe in the reviews or on the Bricklink. I've just got a 8081Extreme Cruiser which appeared to be much bigger then I could guess and also 8071 Bucket Truck which appeared to be a cute little car, really smaller then I could imagine after viewing the images, reviews, etc. :classic:

Yes, you right, but logic does not help here :laugh: You see a truck and your brains cheats you, you see it as a big one.

i think, a good method for find out the scale, is to compare the size of the tires. most of all vehicle classes have an standard tire size, compare it with the models tires and you have the scale

Yes, maybe. I've just Googled for some cherry pickers, found something similar, and their length was about 6+ meters. Another way to calculate the scale may be comparing the models with the human body (scaled), maybe virtual, did not decided yet :)
