Disco86 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Things have changed after our visit to the Magic Islands. The Loreos felt betrayed, because they lost so many man, and they were missing the support from other factions. But actually we ourselfs had a lot of losses and the whole attack against the magicians was a fail. Wasn't it the idea of these snotty Loreos to hit on the magicians ? Because of this diplomatic circumstances the High Lord Triphian started thinking suspiciously about the future of the peace pacts in Roawia. Armoured conflicts are rising up at the horizon. So the High Lord commanded all his faithful fellows to fortify Lenfald ! Paul von Brickenstein recieved this order and sattled his horse instantaneously. There is a small part of land between Ferncroft and Durrough, that needs to be fortified. The former nobleman of this are unfortunately died at the Magic Islands, so it is up to Paul von Brickenstein to fulfill his duty. He first needs to visit the border, getting some information about the landscape. Arriving in the area, he sees a farm right at the border. The position is tatctically important and the building looks solid enough to build a barrack out of it. Handing over the writ to the old farmer, the building was seized. But for sure the farmer, his son and especially his beautiful daughter can settle down in the Lands of Brickenstein. After hiring some workers in the near town the Fortification begins. Paul von Brickenstein and his architect have made great plans. The old farm house needs to be rebuild with stone bricks and a watchtower. The stable looks perfect to shelter horses but it is really rotten. And the street is just a puddle of mud. Some paving is necessary to stand the pressure of marching troops. Finally the barrack was finished in time, now it is time to prepare for battle. The Brickenstein army moved to the border, reinforced by young man from the nearby villages. Paul von Brickenstein puts the troops on standby for new orders. What will be the next step ? Attacking ? Defending ? Or just moving back home... Quote
kibosh Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Love seeing the evolution. Great idea for a build. Love the military precision exhibited in the Border Barracks. Quote
Brickington Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Looks amazing! I never any bad MOCs come out of LCC! Great MOC! Quote
markus1984 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 You're everywhere encountered here I can also say - absolutely amazing building and story! Quote
Evil Porkchop Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 That is awesome. As previously pointed out... seeing the evolution of the MOC is very cool. Quote
de Gothia Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) Wow, I have followed this moc since the beginning and I just love it! The clean look, the photos and all the small details! Well done! Now come and join Avalonia! Edit: Oh forgot to ask, how did you do the font? Edited April 2, 2013 by de Gothia Quote
Disco86 Posted April 2, 2013 Author Posted April 2, 2013 Thanks a lot for your comments, always a pleasure to show you some buildings. Now come and join Avalonia! Edit: Oh forgot to ask, how did you do the font? I actually joined Avalonia. BUT 1. Nobody ever reacted to my signup 2. I dont see anything really cool going on besides Challenge VI at GoH 3. There is a lot of spam in the guild thread And thats why I haven't build something so far, maybe I will join after the Revolword Saga The Font is downloaded from Urbanfonts Quote
harton Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 What a nice background story! So many good techniques out there. Your creation is for me, perfect, I mean this is not to big, not to "complicate" and easy to understand! Well done! Quote
Flieger Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Very cool idea! I like the small details like the chin-straps to the helmets (I may steal that in the future...). The one gripe I have is the use of Rohirrim helmets, because they are too easily recognizable and even iconic. There are some licensed pieces of armour which can go for anything, like the PoP Guards of Alamut-helmet - it is really just a pointy helmet. But that Rohirrim one makes me think FORTH EORLINGAS!! at once. Sorry that the critique took longer than the praise Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I just have to ask, is this three separate Mocs, or did you just pull the house off and modify it? Cause if its three, that's awesome how close they are! Quote

Cause if its three, that's awesome how close they are! No, this was built up on one moc. I just switched some parts. But actually it was more work than I thought it would be, to let it look that accurat every time. Edited April 3, 2013 by Disco86 Quote
Wedge09 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Really nice work  I really like in particularly the trasformation of the buildings. Quote

-Carson Haupt- Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 No, this was built up on one moc. I just switched some parts. But actually it was more work than I thought it would be, to let it look that accurat every time. Ok, thanks! Quote
JllSantos Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Great evolution .. It was like watching Age of Empires ! Congrats Quote
The Undo Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 (edited) Very beautiful scenes, and a nice transition from the first to the third scene. Also the backstory gives this moc another dimension. Edited April 7, 2013 by omerai Quote
Disco86 Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 Thanks a lot for your comments !!! Great evolution .. It was like watching Age of Empires ! Congrats Good idea, I love Age of Empires. Sometimes I will do another project like this, then I try to get my inspiration by AoE. Quote
LegoLotRGuy Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 awesome moc, the barracks is awesome, but then the fortification is original, but then vistition is classic, i cant deside! Quote
de Gothia Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I actually joined Avalonia. Oh, I´m really embaressed now! Sorry if I missed your signup, I have always been a fan of your mocs so I´m surprised that no one noticed such a talented builder signing up for GoH! I can agree at some points about GoH but somehow I feel that GoH is much easier to understand and that GoH don´t have so many rules as LCC. I was near to sign up for Lenfald but my time with my bricks have decreased even more now with my two kids! Hope I didn´t offended you in any way and I would be the first one to welcome you once again to Avalonia! Quote
Zhar Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) Like it, you did a great job but my favorite one is your Nazgul at Bruinen River ! Edited April 9, 2013 by Zhar Quote
Disco86 Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 Hope I didn´t offended you in any way and I would be the first one to welcome you once again to Avalonia! No you didnt, sure I will be building some stuff for Avalonia sometimes. Thinking about an Eleven-Tower in two month. Quote
