ATS Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Hello, can somebody help me to build a 9-stud driven steering? Is this possible, because I have no idea how to build it.... Greets ATS Quote
DLuders Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 @ ATS: You could get some ideas from Mahjqa's Intermediate Power Functions Chassis Flickr photoset: Quote
DLuders Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Well, OK, how about ssugawara1955's spastic : Quote
Someonenamedjon Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 There is this one but is 11 studs. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=80686 Quote
jorgeopesi Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Without differential you have a lot of them and smaller than 9 studs, this one has instructions. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5340740 Quote
Someonenamedjon Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Well, OK, how about ssugawara1955's spastic car Imagine driving that to work everyday Quote

fresko Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I made a (or is it the? )Ultimate Power Functions chassis. It is a 4WD chassis, with suspension. I made it small as possible, around 15.5 studs wide. I'll upload PDF (step -by-step)building instructions soon. You can take a look in my brickshelf gallery, when it is made public. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=fresko Its made especially for ACC-races and other small races. It has 2 L-motors for drive, 1 Servomotor for steering and it uses the rechargeable BatteryBox. But with a quick and easy MOD, you can use the standard BatteryBox too. Some pictures: (And yes, that is the model in MLCAD. So you'll receive quality instructions and NOT LDD-screenshots in the PDF!) You can build there a nice body on, like I did with this 1980-looking Volvo-Body design. (I like '80 and '90 volvos much ) And to end: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OX9pELNus5Y I hope you like it and you can use it! Quote
Tamas Juhasz Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 (edited) I made a (or is it the? )Ultimate Power Functions chassis. It is a 4WD chassis, with suspension.I made it small as possible, around 15.5 studs wide. So do you think, yours is the ultimate PF chassis? (ultimate for what?) In this topic we need a 9 stud wide axle, for that the 8297's suspension arms aren't good. You can easily build a 9 stud wide steered and driven suspension with rigid axles: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=474865 (9s wide between the wheels) http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=4725021 http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=475627 (10 s) http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5748591 - mostly for Tatra 7s wide is nearly the smallest driven and steered axle with suspension: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=347706 Edited March 29, 2013 by Mbmc Quote
fresko Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 So do you think, yours is the ultimate PF chassis? (ultimate for what?) In this topic we need a 9 stud wide axle, for that the 8297's suspension arms aren't good. Relax, it was just a joke. I know I'm not the best builder, but I was just a bit pride of my creation. I tought it was this chassis was one of the smallest, with independent suspension and 4WD. Of course it isn't the Ultimate Power Function Chassis (for this topic), but I think it can be use good in other creations (such as ACC-Races). I'm sorry if I made the impression that I thought this was the ultimate PowerFunction Chassis for all aplications, that was not my intention (remember english isn't my native language ) And you are right, I have better open a new topic with my creation. Tamas Juhasz Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 (edited) Ok, no problem. Anyway the drivetrain with the small suspension arms is a good idea. Edited March 30, 2013 by Mbmc Quote

legomuppet9 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Got 10 studs... 10 stud wide axle by legomuppet9, on Flickr Needs extra bracing etc, and the steering needs to be sorted, but I can't do that on LDD, i need to build it in actual Lego, which I can't do quite at the moment... Quote
