Zarkan Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Well, now that just about all of the summer 2007 kits have been revealed, I Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I thought it wouldn't be the last year too. Glad someone else thinks so. A bat-mech would a good idea too. Why Arkham Asylum though? We alrady have one. -ZotS Quote
Zarkan Posted February 9, 2007 Author Posted February 9, 2007 Why Arkham Asylum though? We alrady have one. Well, because the version seen in the TV series is much different than the one we have now, asside from the general style. I can see what you mean, though, and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make another one. ;-) Quote

Starwars4J Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Green Exo hair would be good for the Joker, too. Even though I hate this series and would refuse to buy them >_> 90's batman all the way :-P Quote
Vader Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 You raise a few good points Grevious, but i dont think that this is the end of the batman line just yet. I think the biggest problem lego has is the fact that they released so many sets in the first year of this theme, i cant remember when a license was so heavly produced in its first year. The thing with the batman is that theirs alot of different vehicles that lego can reproduce if they want, so we could in theory get a different batmobile each year if they wanted. As for the new Batman cartoon well who knows but i would be surprised if lego touched that series, even though its just been renewed for a fifth season the show has its critics and i cant see lego spending the money to create the many different figs. Sure lego do different types of SW figs but they reuse most of the fig heads but if they did the batmans new show they would have to make the figs all over again and thats not something lego likes to do. I would welcome sets based on the new show but i doubt it somehow. Quote
Two-Faced Batman Fan Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I think we're more likely to see sets from the movie coming out in 2008. The thing with The Batman is that it's got a lot of people that would require new sculpts and such if they were made. IMO I think they should stick to the comic version for a while and see if it continues to do good. Then they could start exploring new ideas. It's like with the Star Wars license. It's been the greatest license LEGO has ever gotten and now they've extended it and are starting to do EU sets (ie Tie crawler). Remember that they're only in their second year so I think they'll continue to do the comic style until sales progress better and better. just my 2 cents *y* Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 I LOVE the batman but the new batman lego game comes out in 2008, on the poster it showes the type there doing now so mabye after that then.... Also can you write a bit about Bat-Jetski: Killer Croc Quote

We all have seen them do this with the Star Wars sets. But as everything, time will tell. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Now we know its not its final year because... the Batman video game is coming 2008. -ZotS Quote
