Masa finally had had enough of the disorganization that was the Phantom Legion. The volunteers that had gathered at the Black Pyramid were divided into many groups, and the leader of each group had their own opinion on how to wage the war against Revolword. So Masa informed them that from this day on, there was one army and a chain of command that was to be followed. Whoever was not willing to join this army should return home. And so it was that Masa created the ranking system for the Army of Kaliphlin from lowly recruit to Knight Commander,

With so many armies in Kaliphlin, and no one overall commander, I think this military reform by Masa is direly needed, I hope other portions of the army take to the same discipline. - Paulos

One question, are there ranks for each of these levels? IE: Footman / recruit, Sergeant / organized foot, Lieutenant, Captain, Colonel, General?

I really like these figs as well! I agree with SK, maybe the lowest rank soldier would be poorer equipped, but maybe it's more the fig design than the weapons we should look at anyway? His equals would probably be spearmen, bowmen etc.

The highest ranking knights are nice, even though I think the last one's helmet decorations looks a bit overdone. A big red plume on top would have sufficed in my opinion.

These look great and very thought out! I love seeing things of this sort! Great job!

Very nice! As Brickington said, looks like you gave this some thought and the result is a great looking evolution sort of thing!

Thanks guys!

And once you get to level six, you get a pointy sword!

A great incentive to reach level 6.

Yes there are ranks for each level. Masa devised an unconventional multi-tiered ranking system based on experience and skill. The swordsman ranking goes something like the following:

1. Recruit, commanded by a Foot Soldier

2. Foot Soldier, commanded by a Man at Arms

3. Man at Arms, commanded by a Knight Squire

4. Knight Squire, commanded by a First Knight

5. First Knight, commanded by a Knight Commander

6. Knight Commander

Very cool minifigs

Wouldn't it be more realistic for number one to have a spear or axe though? As they would be cheaper than a sword :look:

Thanks! Masa considers it a waste to have soldiers training in swordsmanship to train in other weapons. If a sword will be your weapon of expertise then the sword must become second nature even from the lowest ranks.

Spearmen are a different catagory the highest rank of which is Lancer Champion

Really nice idea you worked out here!

At Gideon, I got no problem with the overly decorated helmet of the Knight Commander. The generals of the Alleenridders got a lot of decoration as well on their hats, as it still makes people look up to you :classic:

Great ranking system there! My fav is probably number five, is the commanding idea that one foot soldier commands, say five recruits or one on one? I kind of agree with Gedion on the Knight Commander's extravagant headgear, but he looks pretty high up there anyways!

I really like this. When I first saw it, I thought it was the same guy getting more powerfull. Perhaps I'll do the same thing with some other residents of Historica, of course, some nocturnians would get more mutated over time, but that's part of the fun.

Thanks! The Knight Commander is something of a legend and if they are present on the battlefield there would only be 1 or 2 at the most for an epic battlefield. As far as the command units, it would be one commander per 5 or 10 units and if no one is available from the designated rank to command then the next rank up gets the command. For example: 1 x "4"commands {10 x "3" who command [10 x "2" who command(10 x "1")]}

I really like this. When I first saw it, I thought it was the same guy getting more powerfull.

Thanks! That was the idea

Nice work   I really like the idea that the knight start from a poor men and became a rich knight

Number 6 looks pretty sweet! Not a guy you should mess with!

Thanks guys!
