Someonenamedjon Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) Do you guys know of any simple combination lock that is used in a container and doesn't use the pulley wheel? Edited March 24, 2013 by Someonenamedjon Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Could we ask for more detail like: what is it for?,any size/part restrictions? etc...... Quote
Someonenamedjon Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 It does't really matter what size it is, as long as it does't use the 6 hole pulley wheel, and i just suddenly got this ideal because i brake a combo lovk with a hammer the other day. Quote
kibosh Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Funny. We just went to middle school orientation for my son. They made a point to tell the parents to have the kids practice doing their locker combination before getting to school. I instantly wondered, "Can I make a LEGO lock?" Quote
DLuders Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 If you want to build a Lego Combination Lock for a container, consider nopXweedlee's version with a step-by-step video Building Instruction: Quote
07jkearney Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Do you guys know of any simple combination lock that is used in a container and doesn't use the pulley wheel? This solution uses them unless I am very much mistaken Quote
DLuders Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Yes, the pulley wheels offer the most compact solution, but one could use bigger Lego wheels to do the same locking mechanism. I'm not sure why Someonenamedjon is avoiding using the pulley wheels (unless he doesn't have any).... Quote
Someonenamedjon Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 Yes, i don't have any, but i will soon, by the way i found one, it uses lego bricks. Quote
