On this date I and the Danish LUG byggepladen will present:

- A new Guinness World Record for the longest toy train track made entirely of the old blue tracks. Length 4.000,25 meters (you can read more about this in another post)

- For the first time ever, we will present every train set, station, track type, prototypes of tracks (we have them in blue, gray, light gray, Maersk blue, Black, White, red, yellow, green and some more), stations, polybags, sets, wagons and so on. We will present more than 200 different trainrelated sets etc.

If you wish to see it, there is public access saturday between 9.00 - 16.00 - the Guinness adjudicator will arrive at 12.00

The official announcement of the record will probably be around 15.00.

The event is taking place at

Broby Sportsefterskole

Vesterågade 60

5672 Broby

Denmark

Fee: DKK 25 - If you show this post, there is free entrance.

We are planning to broadcast live coverage on http://www.byggepladen.dk

More information later.

Will you also be presenting your book at his event?

Ps: I can see the next world record coming: longest Maersk blue train track!

The guide is not ready yet. I have not got a legal promission to use official LEGO pictures, but we will take pictures of every thing at the event. I hope it will ready late this year.

The Maersk train is not gonna happening (not this time.......).

I have tried to finance the adjudicator by selling wagons to sponsors. We have just sold the last one. We have totally sold 40 wagons. You can see some of them here:

The budget for the whole event is about 15.000 Euro

Wow! This sounds like a HUGE event! I'm sorry I'm not able to go. :pir_bawling:

4 kilometers of old blue track, yay! Not 12Volts I guess? I'd like to

see set #113 covering the whole distance. Or a boxed set #080...

Please not only make pics. Mount a camera on one of the trains and

film the track. I'm looking forward to see images of this great event.

We have several wireless cameras, which we be mounted on the trains. These camera Will broadcast live videos.

More about that later.

I will consider, to make a timelap, but I Think it is a challenge, the area we have to cover is huge.

Sounds like a great event! Good luck with the Guinness guys, I hope all works out and you'll get your world record.

If I was still in Holland I'd probably get on the bike and ride up but from Ireland it's a bit of a trip...
