That thing does not destroy the tree she leaves, nor does she have limited movability (apart from the trees that are disturbed). That's why it is a random choice at the beginning, right?

Yes. You would have to be really lucky to get it on the first try. The spirit cannot move into a disturbed tree. It is possible to trap him, since he has to move from one tree to the next, and cannot move not diagonally. That's the last hint I'm giving you!

Heckz blindly begins to shake the tree, leaves falling out of it. The bats follow shortly thereafter.

OOC: Thank goodness I took pictures of bats!

Jeaux attempts to get the attention of the bats, one of which flies down to speak with him.

"Squeak squee!" ("Oh yeah, that guy! Ruining our naps! Just before you showed up he was in the top left tree. He then jumped to the middle left tree after the first tree was shaken. I don't know where he is now though.")

"Stigveladi, with that I think we have to either check the bottom left or the middle right. I say middle right. If that one is wrong then after that we should check the middle left." Heckz looked really happy. It was one of the only times he had a plan

"You are wrong, actually. The creature was at the top left and then moved to the middle left. So if we shake the middle right tree and he isn't there then it is obvious he was at the bottom left. Therefore, he moved to the middle left again and we would know his location"

Heckz gave Zoltan a smile back and without asking Amma he punched the middle right tree. To the party members surprise, the force of the punch shook the tree.

Heckz punches the tree, not realizing punching the tree would hurt him. After punching the tree, bats fly out.

"Puny tree! I got splinters all over my fist for no reason!" Heckz punches the middle left tree

Heckz decides that he has a vendetta against trees, and punches the middle left tree. Expecting the usual flurry of bats a skeletal rocker falls out of the tree with a drum kit. He sets his drums up, and sits himself down.

He begins to bang his drums, and out of the trees come two very large, and very hungry looking bats who join him in a battle of the ages.

Heckz turns to Stigveladi "You, me, ice, spell, bats, good?".

"Yes, Heckz, that sounds good. What do the rangers suggest? Getting rid of the Bats first to prevent another Bat joining the party?"

"Eliminating the beasts will not prevent more from joining the fray, as it is the drummer who recruits them. I think it would be wise for both you and Heckz to focus your ice magic on the bats, while the rest of us deal with the drummer. If more bats decide to join the battle we can reanalyze the strategy then." Jeaux pulls an arrow from his quiver, and sights down the shaft at the purple haired musician wannabe.

> Em - Spike

My thinking was: If we would attack the Bats first then the possibility of another Bat joining the battle would be lower (max 1 if Zoltan gets SD). When we got rid of the 2/3 bats we would deal with Spike who would call other Bats maybe. But since there would be no Bat at that moment we could get 3x SD until we risk Spike's 2nd Special.

But (2) Spike's 2nd Special (stunned) is maybe not as bad as the Bat's Special (poisoned). That's why I agree on "everyone except the Mages attacks Spike". :classic:
