Scouty Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Looky what I found on brickshelf! Unfortunately that's the only pic. It's a very nice MOC :-) . Quote
Norrington Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 WOW this Pictue is old, because they refered to to it as "The new Space Cruiser." Quote
snefroe Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 i think it's a very old article though, let's say 1979... pretty nice in any case... look people: old gray!! lots of it 8- Quote

Starwars4J Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Is there a difference between the old grey and the two exo-force greys? I haven't cleaned up my old lego greys to compare yet. Nah, there's not really a difference, right norro? X-D I don't know why everyone thinks Exo-Force was the first to do things, Bley was around long before it. Old grey is what was around for a long time, since its introduction. It has an appearance closer to that of stone. It's perfect for castles, and works for space too. Bley (blue-grey) was introduced rather recently (along with a reddish-brown which never should have been created) and has an appearance perfect for a metal. It's might lighter in coloration, more metallic. It works great for mechs and space creations. However it looks horrible for castle or stone/mountains. Quote

Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Im guessing that dude doesnt design Legos sets anymore, which might explain why up until this years castle theme, its all pretty much SUCKED. Quote
El Bucanero Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I'm not a real space fan, but this is just too great not to comment on! Brilliant! Quote
Fed Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 :-P Thanks for the replies. To be honest, I've seen that photo somewhere before - and I'm in SE Asia. Dunno where, but it has a degree of familiarity to it. Here's a related question, to do that MOC nowadays, how much would you have to spend to get the parts to copy that thing? Quote
Scouty Posted February 8, 2007 Author Posted February 8, 2007 Would you be the one with this article? To buy parts for that magnitude and those rare parts, it'd cost ALOT I'd say. Quote
dunamis Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Wow, that's cool! That ship was one of my favorites way back in the day. I must have played with that for HOURS! Quote

simonwillems Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Great space set this is, I wonder how much it weighed... and how much it has yellowed ever since 1979 (if it still exists that is) *sweet* Quote
El Bucanero Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 OT: Lol. I made a mistake, mixed up two different posts.... :-D Aha.. May I ask you which one? And may I also ask you (OFF-TOPIC ALERT!) why your avatar says poker is the work of the devil!? I LOVE PLAYING POKER!!!! Quote
