As I was working on what I was calling a castle, I came to the conclusion that it really isn't one and to build one the right way I don't have enough bricks. Then I came across 4x1's at the local LEGO store PAB wall and I stocked up.... got home, ripped apart my creation in an attempt to build it bigger and .... I still didn't have enough bricks for a castle BUT I did have enough bricks to build a keep.

Here's the two teaser shots (teaser as the inside isn't all finished yet)

Inside there is the Lord Kejtar's manor, knight and soldier quarters and a place for horses and of course.... kitchen :D

It has a classic castle feel. However, I feel that it is a little bla and needs something to spice it up.

I know what you mean... but at the moment I am all out of spice and full of blah ;) In all seriousness, I want to redo the top of the gate tower - the roof there feels more like an easy up than a red tiled roof ;)

I also have the insides to finish up which will take a fair amount of work. When I"m done with that I'll look into adding spice ;)

I have spent some time thinking about what to do about the front of the tower as it looked a little blah... also the way I had the roof supported made think of an easy-up so here's what came out all those thoughts

updated front

I have also moved the chimney on the "manor" to the side as I'm reworking the inside and the fireplace ended up in a corner.
