Ludzik Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) As I was working on what I was calling a castle, I came to the conclusion that it really isn't one and to build one the right way I don't have enough bricks. Then I came across 4x1's at the local LEGO store PAB wall and I stocked up.... got home, ripped apart my creation in an attempt to build it bigger and .... I still didn't have enough bricks for a castle BUT I did have enough bricks to build a keep. Here's the two teaser shots (teaser as the inside isn't all finished yet) knights keep - front knights keep - side view Inside there is the Lord Kejtar's manor, knight and soldier quarters and a place for horses and of course.... kitchen :D Edited February 28, 2013 by Ludzik Quote
Brickington Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 It has a classic castle feel. However, I feel that it is a little bla and needs something to spice it up. Quote
Ludzik Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 It has a classic castle feel. However, I feel that it is a little bla and needs something to spice it up. I know what you mean... but at the moment I am all out of spice and full of blah ;) In all seriousness, I want to redo the top of the gate tower - the roof there feels more like an easy up than a red tiled roof ;) I also have the insides to finish up which will take a fair amount of work. When I"m done with that I'll look into adding spice ;) Quote
Brickington Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Perhaps sand green 1x1 bricks and leafs, etc could help. Quote
Ludzik Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 I have spent some time thinking about what to do about the front of the tower as it looked a little blah... also the way I had the roof supported made think of an easy-up so here's what came out all those thoughts updated front I have also moved the chimney on the "manor" to the side as I'm reworking the inside and the fireplace ended up in a corner. Yanthedestroyer Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Simple, I like the details above the gate! Good job! Quote
