ronenson Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Hi there, I've been reading this forum now for some time, and found a lot of interesting topics/ideas flowing by, so I'd like to participate a bit more. I'm Ron, 39 years old, from Eindhoven in the Netherlands. I've been enjoying when I was a little boy, and recently rediscovered it when I bought my Son the 7939 train set. I've always enjoying playing with the lego trains a lot, having a 720 and 7760 on a 12V track (blue) when I was young. When we set up the 7939 on the attic with the rest of his lego, I decided it was time to revive my old trains as well, which is what got my heavily back into lego. I've since then converted both the 720 and 7760 to use power functions (with the original 12V motors), and treated myself on a double Horizon Express on new year. I've also discovered bricklink, which really opens up opportunities. It's the thing I missed when I was a little kid (well, internet didn't exist back then either ;-) ) Quote
Gideon Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Hello and welcome! So it is not only I who have been lurking around for a while before starting to post here? :) BL is surely awesome! I've just recently started using it but I find it a bit too easy to buy more bricks than I have planned ;) Quote
Stinky Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Welkom! The 720! Got it, mint in box. I know NOTHING about Power Functions. Please enlighten me on how to convert older train sets? thx! Quote
