fresko Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) Hello! I'm new on this forum; so I'll introduce myself. I'm a TFOL from Belgium and I build with Lego Technic (so excuse me for my bad English). Look at my brickshelf folder (http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=522644) or on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook....93917724&type=3) for all the photos and videos. This is my Truck with trailer: It is a scale model of the truck of my uncle and aunt. They stand daily on marketplaces and they sell clothes. (Comparation with Real Model) The truck is very standard, but on my Lego Scale Model are some nice details (all functions are just like the real truck), like: -Doors with lock -All the mirrors -Windscreen wipers -Roof that can be clicked -The panel for little reparations on the engine can be opened -The whole cabine can be opened -Nice interior details, such as direction indicators and unimog-based seats -Hidden Rechargeable BatteryBox -3 sets PF-Lights in the front -Fuel Tanks on both sides -Full suspension (front and rear) -Detailed suspensed Fifth Wheel couping -Steering by Servomotor & Driving by XL-motor, commanded by Speed Remote They trailer isn't a standard trailer, it's a very complicated trailer. They functions in the real are: -2nd part that can slide out (with folded floor) (powered by hydralic cilinders attached on the floor) -It can drive on it own (by front wheels, powered by small motor) -It have pneumatic susension on the rear axle -It have 2 separatly panels powered by hydralic cilinders -The front wheels can be retracted (powered by hydralic cilinders) -A door with lock -On the 2nd part that slides out are cilinders that can retracted for stability (powered by hydralic cilinders) On the Lego Scale Model: -2nd part that slide out (with folded floor) (powered by 2 LA's attached on the floor, connected via a l-motor) -It can drive on it own (by front wheels, powerd by m-motor via chain and gearing) -It have pneumatic susension on the rear axle (with 2 small pneumatic cilinders) -It have 2 separatly panels powered by pneumatic cilinders (with autovalves connected via 2 servo motors) -The front wheels can be retracted (powered by 2 mLA's, connected via a liftarm, connected via l-motor) -A door with lock -On the 2nd part that slides out are cilinders that can retracted for stability (powered by 2 LA's connected via m-motor) An example of a comparation between the rear model and the Lego Scale model: An example of a video (the comparation of the 2nd panel between the real model and the scale model): http://www.facebook....&type=3 I'd like your opinion and comments. And again, I'm sorry for my bad English Greets, Fresko Edited February 17, 2013 by fresko Quote
DLuders Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) @ Fresko: Welcome to Eurobricks! Your truck above is impressive. I was actually looking at your Brickshelf gallery earlier today to download the LDD Building Instructions for your "Race and Drift Buggy": Edited February 17, 2013 by DLuders Quote
Carsten Svendsen Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 That's a very cool and detailed truck. I'd love to see a video with all of these features you built in it since it's too much to imagine, but as I can se on your FB, your camera isn't really the best so I guess I'll just have to imagine it all anyway. It looks like it must've taken a long time to build. Quote
fresko Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 Thanks for the comments! That's a very cool and detailed truck. I'd love to see a video with all of these features you built in it since it's too much to imagine, but as I can se on your FB, your camera isn't really the best so I guess I'll just have to imagine it all anyway. It looks like it must've taken a long time to build. I took the trailer today apart, so I can't made a video including all the features. And indeed, my camera isn't best (it's a 5-year old camera with only 4MP and my cell phone's camera is only 3MP). But I spend my money rather on Lego instead of buying a camera. It took a very long time to build; at least 6 months (note I made also other creations during that period) @ Fresko: Welcome to Eurobricks! Your truck above is impressive. I was actually looking at your Brickshelf gallery earlier today to download the LDD Building Instructions for your "Race and Drift Buggy": For my Race And Drift Buggy I made a full part list on Rebrickable. You'll have to wait until the approval of the admin. If you'd like the instructions of my Truck,I have some good news. I'll upload LDD instructions for the Truck, if I got during next week 14 more followers on Facebook (so I have 45 in total). Greets, Fresko Quote
